Yeah it is hard, at first. But once you're on it and established and the excess yeast has reduced - you should start to feel a lot better and the cravings should go away. But at first, things do get worse, which is why it's a challenge to stick to it for long enough to get improvements.
Yeah, you sound like me. Even some more low sugar fruit is intolerable for me now. White bread is also - but then it contains bleached flour and I can't handle that, or any gluten grain.
You "might" be able to handle some gluten free, yeast free bread from particulary health food shops, but you may not if you are reacting to all high carb foods....
It's annoying I know. I hate it and it shouldn't have to be this way, but sadly it is. I never used to have to be this strict. I had to alter my diet because of the mercury, but I only needed to knock our sugar, yeast, wheat/gluten. I could still eat eat fruit, potatoes, chips, honey, gluten free bread/cereals etc.
But once I got this virus/bacteria infection? That's when things really changed and i have had to adjust accordingly. Plus a round of antibiotics made it even worse! So yeah, it's a bugger.
If the underlying condition is improved/cured, then one would not require to remain on such a diet, or need to get on one in the first place. I don't mind giving up some things, but it just gets ridiculous when even fruit becomes an issue.
