Also, if God made Himself as visibly obvious as the sun, then people would have no choice but to believe. And they would start being moral etc just so they wouldn't go to hell. God wants people to choose to come to him and to chose morality.

As things are now, those who don't want to believe, who don't want to be moral, are under no obligation to do so. They can see no God so they can dismiss the existence of God.They are subsequently free to live as they want to live, not as they feel they should, as are we all. None of us have to be religious. It is easy to rationalise oneself out of a belief system that depends on faith.
