I think levels of mercury and tolerances vary from person to person. I recall reading somewhere in one of Hal Huggins books, that he said that one small pit filling stood in the way of a once healthy atheletic young man from being well or achieving. This guy had apparently plummeted since one small pit filling had been drilled in.
He had it removed and recovered.
Whether it was from allergy/toxicity or both, who can tell? But even a small amount of this stuff, being left inside the mouth, can do harm to some people.
It may also come down to your reactions to metals and ability to excrete them and mercury. I retain toxins, very badly. So my years of having amalgams did so much damage to me, at the time I didn't realise it until something else happened and it was the last straw. When removing the amalgams, I then was faced with the onslaught of my body deciding then to start dumping its years of storage. Then I really saw the underlying damage and impact. I realised that I had been storing and retaining this poison for many many years.
I had 8 amalgams altogether. Who knows how I would have been with only one, but that's not to say I would not have noticed effects eventually. That young guy I told you about, it appeared to be a dramatic and speedy decline after that one filling was placed.
So I wouldn't be happy with ANY being in my mouth. Not even a scrap of amalgam. In fact, a scrap of amalgam can stand in the way of someone successfully detoxing their body apparently.
