A nation under God, blessed by God, Yet elects a man that supports both the murder of the unborn and homosexuality, both of which God condemns; in my opinion is a nation that is teetering on the brink of chastisement/s.

No true follower of Christ would support that in which offends Him so greviously. There really isn't any separation of ones beliefs and voting in politics - everything we do in life should be a reflection of our Christian beliefs and all the choices we make and what we stand for.

When one makes a conscience informed decision to elect somebody who has the power to support and allow certain abominations and has made it clear enough that he indeed supports such - How then shall such voters face God? By saying "it's not my problem it's politics not religion"? As though one can honestly separate the two? This is sin by association in my opinion.

For the first time, I have voted this year in our election here in NZ according to my Christian beliefs. In the past, much to my regret and shame, I voted according to whatever would benefit myself. I took little notice of the moral implications.

This time, I did it differently. I knew by my vote, it would likely make little to almost no impact because of the minor party I voted for. But I voted anyway, because I looked at their beliefs regarding morality/unborn children. In the end, it is our intention and our actions that matter the most and what we gain in eternity, is the goal, whether we win or lose here is irrelevant in comparison. My opinion is, if all Christians decided to make a change, and stood strong regardless of what others were doing and regardless of whether they felt it would make much of a difference or not- then I believe we would see an overall change happen.

Evil triumphs when good people do nothing.
