hello mate and welcome you need to purchase a book called "Amalgma Illness" by Andrew Hall Cutler it is cheapest direct from the man himself on the link below (or you can buy if from this website if u wanta pay more for postage) http://www.noamalgam.com/#howtoorderI am following this protocol myself and its working great. You should not even try any other mercury detox protocol until you have read this book. IF you disagree with it and decide you don't want to follow it...fine....but...do not try anything else until u read this book. it explains everything, which is a huge difference to most protocols that just tell you want to do...this guy explains why you are ill and how to safely get better. Its only $35 and it will be the best 35 bucks you spend on your health. I'm down in london, i don't hang out here too much, so PM me if u have more questions

I been searching for a doctor to help me with mercury detox for 2 years down in London and everyone i meet knows just enough to really screw me up....i know more than all the doctors i have seen put together about mercury detox. You must forget the normal doctors, they will just hurt you more than they already have done. With that Cutler book you can self diagnose, self help, self manage your chelation and there are lots of people on line that can help with your issues. You should join this group too, they follow the cutler protocol: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/Sign up for the 1 email per day. its free and that book and that group saved my sorry arse

While the Cutler protocol makes sense, my sleep is disturbed enough, and I need a solid block of around 6 hours or so of sleep. Is there a way to do this and still chelate with ALA? Perhaps some timed release ALA supplement for at night? Any other ideas for chelation?

Cutler says the time release ALA does not release the ALA evenly and so you get peaks and troughs. You need a constant/stable level of chelator and the flucations will bugger you up. He recommends nobody uses time release ALA because you will get hurt. I have never tried it, but i believe those people that did try it found the side-effects unpleasant. if you search Yahoo FDC you will find many posts.
I dose every 3 hours at night, so i have to wake 2 times. once you get in the mode it is easy and I fall back to sleep again in seconds. You do need to have a system. i need to get out of bed otherwise i turn the alarm off in my sleep.

Hi Bobdav. I have done 25 rounds of chelation as per the Cutler protocol. i am currently at 4mg ALA every 2.5 hours in the day and 3 hours at night, 3 days on, minimum 11 days off. i have found that if i deviate from the cutler protocol in any way that it hurts like hell. Like missing a dose and continueing the round...felt fine at the time but hurt like hell when the round ended. miss a dose and the round must end. you must stick to the protocol or feel the full force of the mercury. When you make a mistake on round, that is when you understand just how painful mercury chelation is and how good the Cutler protocol is...because if you follow the rules chelation is pretty easy. I used to split the capsules myself and divide the doses down myself, but i found a place to compound the capasules in any quantities I want, which makes life a bit simplier. from here: http://livingnetwork.co.za/zencart/i have had 2 deliveries from them and its excellent. delivery is 9-12 days to UK.

Bobdav...it is worth trying to find a doctor to help if you can, but unless that doctor follows the Cutler protocol, you are likely to get hurt by following thier advice. 98pct of doctors know nothing about mercury detox and will convince you something else is wrong, and 1pct know just enough about it to really hurt you. Long term hurt you too. i have been looking for 2 years and i have not found a doctor that is capable of helping me. (i did find lots of people that would have hurt me as well as taking lots of my money.)
The majority of people following the Cutler protocol are doing in on their own, not through choice, but because all the doctors have screwed everyone up. If you have not discovered that yet, you will soon enough:-( The Yahoo frequent dose chelation group is what people use to get to grips with chelation and understand what things mean and how to get through life. caution is the name of the game in mercury chelation.

Thank you for this website Sunshine. Birdlady had posted it too, (or a different one??) but I lost it. I think they deliver to the states, too??? I had to try to divide doses by pouring 100 mg. DMSA capsules into an acidic juice and then keep shaking/stirring and then pour divided doses to cut down dosages and it couldn't have been real exact. You can only get ALA in 50 mg. tablets at best locally at least, either, and had to try to make sure they were tablets to cut. Anyway - this really helps. It was such a hassle and huge pain to deal with I didn't keep it going. I had bladder/kidney problems, too, though when chelating which tells me I need to do some cleansing. I use to cleanse regularly....
