Yes, this is, indeed, a very frightening time for the United States of America!

I feel like putting on sackcloth and sprinkling ashes on my head, as they did in the Old Testament when evil was recognized! So many of us Americans are very saddened over this new, soon-to-be, President -Barack Obama.

I quote from Isaiah 5:20 "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

What have we done??! We have elected a new President that plans to 'make a lot of changes', 'peace',etc, .....

"Woe unto them that call peace when there is no peace." We will only find peace when our Lord Jesus comes and takes His church, 'His people', out of here. Jesus is the Prince of peace!

Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

I just read on the Yahoo homepage that the great Evangelist Billy Graham, now 90 years old, is a registered Democrat and has always met with, and prayed for our new Presidents. As the article goes on to say, 'his health does not permit that at this time'. ALSO 'Mr. Graham DOES NOT agree with Obama's views on abortion and gay marriage!' Thank the LORD!

We must remember that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind." That's not easy to do in these 'end times'. We must stay in His Word, the Bible, for strength, ESPECIALLY NOW!

It is my personal opinion (and other pastors ,Christians), that we ALREADY are living in the End Times.

Of course we read about the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, Post-Tribulation, and Mid-Tribulation Rapture of the Church. Well, whatever it is , and whenever it is, I pray we are ready to meet the Lord in the air when He comes!

Matthew 24:44 Jesus is speaking, "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." (KJV)

This is not a time to run and hide and stick our heads in the sand! This is a time for BIG TIME REPENTANCE and CALLING OUT FOR THE LORD'S MERCY! PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! (1 Thes.5:17)

I'm reminded of the story in the OT of JONAH -Chapter 3:5, "So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.....(after JONAH did as God said, and exposed their sin to them.)

I'm sure many won't agree with this, but I still must inform those of us who are Christians and await the return of our Saviour, King Jesus. He IS coming back, and "every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Him to be Lord."...even the UNbelievers. But it will be too late for them.(Phil 2:10-11).

This is so very very sad. Thank you, Bex for all the articles you collect, copy and paste, and the words you type here on this Message Board. You are a bright light in a dark corner to many people, myself included, for sure! God bless you, dear friend.
