Hi Ole,

I understand this kind of panic and despair and the feeling of being permanently damaged etc. I had that many many times during my mercury torment and the slow painful detox that came after. I doubt the chlorella has done any permanent damage to you, just skip using it again. It hurt me also at the time and onetime I used it and I was very sick for a long time (probably a month or more). Because it just erupted mercury everywhere and my body had to try and deal with it.

I had many times that things like that happened. Even high sulfur foods caused mobilisation and sick symptoms, but not as bad as chlorella. Once I took chlorella and wound up on one side of my bed (between the wall and bed) screaming, crying and salivating. Now yes that was not totally abnormal for me, but it was made much worse by products like that which seemed (for me at least) to give an intolerable reaction. Sometimes I was ok, other times I was not. So I had to skip chlorella in the end.

Garlic hurt me too then (supplement form).

I had very little that didn't make me feel like I was dying or about to go completely psycho and once you set off such a reaction, there is no telling when it might start to improve/die down. Also, you have to remember that once all amalgams are out, your body will start to naturally try and dump the mercury - which feels like retox.

It is really hard to recommend something to you if you have any remaining amalgam, since for some, trying to chelate/detox can cause problems when they have a bit leftover. It is not the wisest move, but I know the odd person who has done this and felt better for it. Some did not. So you'd be wise to have every bit of amalgam taken out, rather than mess around with too many detox products at this point....it's up to you though, but steer clear of chlorella if it's hurt you this much and it seems it has.

Remember the body is trying to heal. Whatever stage you are at, it's asserting itself and trying to heal. I would seriously suggest to you that you go on a candida diet. You can still consume some natural forms of sugar if you are concerned like some fruit etc. Although it's very sweet and can potentially still feed candida, it is nothing compared to the impact of straight sugar on the immune system and feeding candida. In my mercury toxic days, I went on a sort of candida diet and just excluded the bad - sugar, wheat/gluten and yeast. I was able to consume everything else just about. Even milk in cereal. THough I stayed away from wheat/gluten cereals. Reason being, wheat is treated wtih mercury fungicide, you do not want to consume that when you're poisoned already. Risky and gluten is another bad one that can really cause problems in many people.

Be aware that when giving up foods like this, will incur a detox reaction and headaches are often a sign of that happening. I would not take supplements, until you can handle a diet like this and detox symptoms start to die down. Then later, you maybe able to handle supplements better as your body would already be reduced in toxins. Supplements may only add to the detox effect and diet alone is more than enough.

That is up to you though. But many people think they are gettign worse with diet/supplements because their symptoms increase. They assume this means they are deteriorating, yet it is more often than not, healing reaction. Headaches are very common and for me, that ws the first thing that started to get worse. In fact, I thought my head would explode at one point, but it was just toxins coming lose in and around my brain and other organs.

I also cried and had other symptoms, but I stuck it out. Believe me, if this is half of your problem, and you stick to this diet, you won't know yourself once you get through the worst part of it. I would not recommend overdoing fruit and other natural sugar foods, but they can help you get through the sugar cravings if you really feel you need something sweet.

I don't recall what supplements I had at that stage...but I do remember the diet and at first it was just awful.

Andy Cutler's protocol was the only protocol that helped me in the end. And remember I was an extreme case. Hypersensitive, very toxic and coudl barely tolerate anything to detox the mercury. I chose his and I started to handle it better. You can always use very small doses if you are concerned. So long as you take it every 4 hours around the clock (waking up at night with an alarm to take doses then too) for about 3 days or so. Then take a break of the same amount of time or longer. You just keep this cycle up until you start to feel better as you reduce the blood/tissue burden of mercury in a safe, consistent manner. This protocol keeps the mercury movement more stable in your blood because the chelating agent is being taking at regular intervals. If you miss a dose? Then it's best to stop the round and wait a few days before starting again. You can take a late dose, so long as it's not too late. But the every 4 hour routine is essential because after 4 hours, the chelator levels begin to drop in the blood and you want to keep them at the same level so you don't cause up and down spiking of chelator, with up and down movement of mercury (causing redistribution).

There will be a certain amount of redistribution at the end of each round because you need to stop at some point and have a break, but it'll be ok and it's pretty minimal. It gets bad when you take isolated doses or well separated. I used to get violently ill from taking just one isolated dose of DMSA. That's how poisoned I was. So Andy was right, the every 4 hour routine keeps it safe. It's not really the DMSA that is the problem, it's the mercury. And when you find out how to treat it and move it out of you, then you'll usually be able to chelate pretty well with not too much of a problem. Even children have DMSA when they are poisoned.

Also DMSA taken in that way can help correct a bad reactoin created by redistribution of mercury by incorrectly taken chelators or mobilising agents like chlorella. It has gotten me out of some very bad situations. I remember I was taking a product that was just pretty much a detox support supplement. I didn't realise that within this supplement contained agents that mobilised mercury and taken incorrectly coudl result in some extreme reactions. And that is exactly what happened when I started using it. So I went onto the DMSA (every 4 hours) and it began to correct the reaction again. I also used it after an antifungal agent. Antifungals can split the cell walls of candida open. If the candida contains significant heavy metals, then this may release alot of it by killing too much yeast at once (splitting them open). I was poisoned badly from it and I got onto the DMSA and it began to heal the reaction and remove that mercury.

So I'd say Cutler's protocol has been a life saver for me many times. I really recommend it, but I am not sure whether Andy advocates using chelators whilst you still have any remaining amalgam. I am pretty sure he tells people to remove every bit of it before you start. It maybe just a precaution or he could be blamed if things go wrong....he's just erring on the side of caution. Some believe that the chelator turns up in the saliva and can encourage further release of mercury from any existing amalgams....not sure, but I don't know if I'd risk it.

The kind of sense of doom/despair seems to be the nature of mercury and it can also happen when you are doing alot of healing and may not be aware of this. Sadly, mercury detox can cause a very real sense that you are in a black hole and will never come out. I cannot tell you how often I had to lie on my bed curled up with the covers over me because I could not take it. I was often close to ending my life, but somehow I kept going. I struggled on, but didn't really want to. I just wanted it to end. It feels like it never will and the symptoms are frightening. Andy Cutler refers to it as "tremendous suffering". I sincerely do not know of another kind of poison/metal that has had quite the impact on the mind that mercury has done - apart from infections (viral/dental etc). The candida diet truly brought me much improvement and hope, but in the time I was actively detoxing mercury post amalgam removal? Diet or not, I was in a state of detox despair quite often. But a properly thought-out protocol helped me alot. I'd say diet and a good detox protocol were my real hope and help, apart of course from my faith - which I feel without? I may not have continued on. And that's where the Cross became a painful reality to me, rather than me looking at it hanging on a wall, I became intimitately aquainted with suffering and grief in ways that I was unable to put into words. I could often not even pray. But I knew my suffering and inner torment spoke volumes to a Christ that knows our grief and pains intimately and has suffered more than we can imagine.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31)

For we were so utterly, unbearably crushed that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death so that we would rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He who rescued us from so deadly a peril will continue to rescue us; on him we have set our hope that he will rescue us again. (2 Corinthians 1:8b-10a)

So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
