Thanks for clarifying what your beliefs about creationism are, Russ. I have a few questions for you.

I am also aware that we see a lot of evidence for both a young creation and an old creation. Of course, evolutionists don't like to acknowledge the young Earth evidence, and creationists don't like to acknowledge the old Earth evidence. To be intellectually honest, we must view all of the evidence.

Yes, I'm interested in the evidence you say you see. I'm having trouble finding it in your post. Do you have concrete reasons for "young earth evidence," for example? As someone who accepts that the earth is 3.75 billion years old, I can see geological and radiometric dating data which show this. What "old earth" evidence are you yourself looking at?

it seems that someone stopped by this busy little solar system several thousand years ago and did some rearranging.

And if I wanted to study this as a scientist, where would you suggest I search for concrete evidence? It's quite easy for someone to state their beliefs. I could say that I thought that the earth is really hollow and fairies live inside. The thing is, I'd have a lot of trouble trying to show that this was really the case, and it would contradict quite a lot of scientific evidence, for example the fact that earth has a magnetic field.

I think God updated some of the satellite positions around the planets, most notably the Earth's moon. Hence the "astronomical" coincidence that the moon, when viewed from the Earth, can eclipse the sun perfectly. It seems self evident that it is not by chance.

And a day is 23.934 hours long. What are the chances of the day being that number of hours? They must be astronomical! Therefore it's no coincidence, right? Just like the fact that the moon is where it is, according to you. Thing is, the earth's rotation rate is slowing down, and a day on earth was once shorter than it is. Just like the moon used to be closer to the earth than it is, and in several million years will be far enough away that total solar eclipses will no longer happen. We have this information through something called physics.

He also made other changes to the solar system that are necessary and intimately related to the proper functioning of life on Earth. These changes explain the anomalies that we see pointed out in this video:

This video is full of factual inaccuracies, starting with the claim discussed above that the moon's position is somehow meaningful evidence of creation. Would you please explain one or two points from the video that you personally think are the most relevant?

The rest of your post talks about what you believe according to the Bible. So if I were a geologist and I wanted to see if your ideas about earth being changed somehow in the past were accurate -- as I would do in order to test any hypothesis -- what do you think I should look for? What evidence should I find out in the field?
