I'm tempted to go and buy some alpha lipoic acid.
However i've read it can actually transport mercury into the brain if the mercury level in my blood is not low enough.
How can I tell if the amount of mercury in my blood is low enough?
I had 3 fillings removed 2 and a half months ago. I'm still having cycles of euphoria and entense lethargy.

I've been reading about ALA also Steve.
This is the info I've found about ALA so far.
1. It does sound like it can transport mercury; weather its from body to brain or vise versa. 2. Andy recommends not to take until 3 months post removal ie this is because like you said to give the body time to remove most of the mercury floating around in the blood etc ... 3. Taking too much can mess you up; so its suggested you take it starting slow. Andy has a protocol for taking it (I dont have his book yet) but something like every 3-4 hours for 3 days then 5 days off. 4. I dont know what specific tests you could get to test for mercury still floating around. I really havnt read too much up on that; but I think there are some.
What supplements are you taking now Steve?
Have you tried cilantro? From what I have read cilantro can have similar effects as ALA.
If you do decide to try either the ALA or cilantro I would suggest using chlorella and/or algin or clay in close proximity to taking the ala/cilantro. This way the above can absorb the mercury and send it out of the system.
Do you have an idea how you plan on taking the ALA? meaning how often; the dose; and when and with what?

I was taking cilantro/coriander but after I heard about actually taking mercury into the brain I stopped. I'm unsure when I'll start again.
I was taking chlorella. But after a while a stopped (when I ran out). I've been feeling pretty bad recently (even though im taking zinc, magnesium, selenium etc) so I'm starting with the chlorella again to see how that effects. Apparently some german org. recommends taking large amounts of chlorella to clear the gut of mercury which facilitates a faster recovery.
I'm planning on taking large amounts of chlorella this week to see if I feel any better and then deciding.
