Salt should actually be part of the daily diet. It is necessary for many functions - adrenals included. I would never go salt-free. The body requires it. Of course natural is the way to go, but if there is a lack of iodine? due to natural salt not containing enough (and truly they don't, I've been there), then one would be wise to supplement extra iodine via kelp or other means.
I gave up iodised salt for natural salt (real salt, just like the one you use Jeanie) and wound up EXTREMELY ill with the loss of iodine in my system. Not ill because of anything wrong with the salt, but the iodine it lacked nearly did me in. I was barely functioning daily, which is saying something considering my natural state the rest of the time. Particularly when a person is exposed to toxins, loss of iodine is devastating.
Some areas maybe have more natural iodine in their soils etc, which is why their foods maybe more high in iodine (like butter also). Whereas my country is VERY low in iodine and other elements like selenium, which may account for us having one of the highest cancer rates, suicidal/depression rates etc. Due to essential elements totally lacking in our soils. Replacing such elements can make a dramatic difference. Though we have the "clean and green" image, which I guess we do in many respects and we are very lucky in that respect, sadly the lack of essential element content in our soils can be a problem.
I thought I was doing good giving up iodised salt, but I had no idea how much my body required that iodine.
I am also finding how necessary exercise is. Moreso than ever. I'm now finding that stored toxins can stay almost stagnent and won't move, unless there is some forced activity and enough to where it forces the body to start shunting out some of the deeply stored toxins. Unfortunately my viral symptoms play up and make me very ill after it, but later on I sense metal/toxins starting to erupt to the surface also. It's trying to balance things to where I don't make myself too ill, but I start pushing some toxins forth. I sense them now daily since I've had forced activity (from doing some work experience), which initially made me so ill I could barely move. Yet now I seem to be experiencing some kind of ongoing detox....not sure what to think, but I attribute it to that.
I use a treadmill now more on an incline (small as it is) and it seems to increase activity more and again get the toxins on the move. I realise much may circulate, but I'm sure some are coming out.
