Hi Everyone, I've just read an e-book called "Eliminating Toxic Overload Safely" written by Ian Solley in the UK. He highly recommends a prduct called PCA-Rx made by a company called Maxam Labs . This product is supposed to actually "encapsulate" the released metal and carry it through the system without any possibility of it being reabsorbed or causing any other damage. It sounds wonderful, but just wondering if anyone has heard of it or might have tried it etc. Russ or Laura, I hope you guys read this. I'd love to have your thoughts on it. The web site for this company who makes this product is www.maxamlabs.com . By the way, does anyone experience what feels like total shakiness inside? Sometimes it feels like my whole system is shaking. My knees feel weak and sometimes I think they might give out. Looking forward to any and all replies. Chelan

Hi! I have that Maxim Labs PCA stuff in spray form-- to be used topically.
Also can be used in your scalp after shampooing. Its' supposed to restore the skin to the moisture balance it had when you were younger. Seems to work for my cheeks, as when I use it- the fine lines are gone for a few days.
I've also sprayed it in my hair (the version with the aloe added) and it seems to make my hair more managable.
I never took it internally though- maybe I have the wrong version.

Well, if PCA Rx is half as good as they make it sound on maxam's website, it is worth a try! That is, if one has $125.00.

They really have a lot to say about a lot of things but unfortunately don't give in-depth details about the Clathration process. It sounds good in the website but they just don't give enough details for me to form a solid opinion.
I also haven't found any information about how it reacts with the blood brain barrier.
Based on the info I found, which was mostly marketing, it sounds good but does not sound like a complete solution because you still need anti-oxidants, etc., etc. and you need something for the brain.
Still would like to find more non-marketing info.
Information from other locations...
"Enzymatic synthesis of cephalosporins is hampered by secondary hydrolysis and by complicated down-stream processing. Instantaneous removal of cephalosporin product by clathration, using an efficient and selective complexing agent, offers an attractive opportunity to tackle these problems. A series of benzene derivatives that form clathrate-type complexes with the cephalosporin antibiotics was subjected to efficiency measurements with Cephradine and enzyme inhibition studies. The best results for the antibiotic Cephradine were obtained with methyl 2-aminobenzoate, 2-hydroxybiphenyl and methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate. These three compounds are environmentally and toxicologically fully acceptable for application in a 'green' process."
"Clathration is a unique solution to chelation that comes without any of the above disadvantages. In this process, the clatharaing substance like PCA-Rx is given orally and it forms a three dimensional matrix around the toxin materials, completely enclosing it in a capsule, thereby effectively neutralizing it and preventing it from coming in contact with any other body tissues and then it is flushed out of the body."
"With clathration there is no chance of re-infecting the body cells with the toxins while they are flushed out. At the same time clathration agents like PCA-Rx are extremely effective in removing heavy metals poisoning like lead or mercury."
