CNN lies on a regular basis about news, and this is just another fine example. Being an herbal researcher, I see these deceptions all the time. They are commonplace.

I'll leave it to the fine smart people on this forum to tear this article apart (if they so wish), with a couple exceptions:

(1) "fringe": The theory that mercury in vaccines causes autism has been all but proven in medical science (see videos below for more information) and is believed, promoted, and supported by a number of prestigious doctors who are well studied and very experienced in this area. Mainstream media consistently omits this information from their "reports".

Use of the term "fringe" is meant to isolate and marginalize the use of chelation; A treatment which has been used effectively by numerous parents eliminate symptoms of autism. Yes, all symptoms of autism have been removed in many children, but no one is allowed to use the word "cure" because the FDA could throw you in jail without a trial.

(2) "triggers": No, mercury does not trigger autism. Mercury CAUSES autism. This has been quite-well established in the medical literature, but this article uses the word "triggers" to cleverly imply that autism is genetic. It is not.

(3) "a theory never proved and rejected by mainstream science": Not true. The theory has been rejected by the media and some "special-interest" doctors, but not by the scientists doing the studies (read them) and not by the doctors who are consistently eliminating the symptoms of autism in children using chelation (among other methods). Notice the careful wording: "never proved".

There are strange and obscene requirements that have to be met before something can be called proved, including FDA approval, which is nothing more than censorship and a crime against humanity on a scale not scene in any historic war. These keywords "never proved" and "rejected" are intended to diminish credibility for chelation, obviously because it works but does not profit pharmaceutical companies enough. They profit much more from autism itself, not by curing it.

Finally, we should consider that "mainstream medicine" (which relies on the political arm of science) is losing the war against autism. It's only the parents with the guts to make their own decisions who have been able to completely get rid of autism in their children. This is why we need to retain the right to practice medicine according to our own conscience, not according to the current "mainstream" opinion. (4) "Mercury hasn't been in childhood vaccines since 2001": Not true. Mercury is used in processing some vaccines NOW and remains in the vaccines when it is distributed. (See Vaccines are NOT mercury free!)

(5) "except for certain flu shots": Mercury is not in "certain" flu shots. It's in ALL flu shots. This is another attempt by the spin-doctor to isolate this crime (of injecting known neurotoxins—like mercury—into humans) to "certain" instances.

Please view/read "news" with the understanding that most of it has an agenda which usually involves profit and power. News today is little more than theater. Mainstream media is rarely held accountable for the lies it tells, and they are many.

This looks like a bit of a damage-control piece for Barbara Walters. Access Hollywood is used in that way quite a bit.

Last year, when Charlie Sheen began giving interviews with Alex Jones, Access Hollywood ran horrible character assassination pieces against him. I saw them when they were first aired.

Just in case this hasen't been mentioned already somewhere.

It is well known that children undergoing chelation therapy
should recieve CaEDTA not Na2EDTA.. Because of Hypocalcemia.

This article in MMWR details the inappropriate use of Na2EDTA chelation therapy for adults in children .

The only agent recommended for intravenous
(IV) chelation therapy for children is CaEDTA (1). However, hospital formularies usually stock multiple chelation agents.

One such agent,
Na2EDTA, was formerly used for treatment of hypercalcemia, but its use has become infrequent because of concerns
regarding nephrotoxicity and because of the availability of less toxic alternatives.
And its use is not recommended because it induces hypocalcemia
and possibly fatal tetany.

Not good to use in the case of children.
CaEDTA should be used instead.
