Hi Sean,
Thanks! If you feed yeast/parasites at the sametime as taking supplements to try and kill them etc, you are defeating the purpose. In fact, I tried it and it made me vomit because of so many ongoing toxins. It's like a permanent state of die off, yet you're feeding it at the sametime. Feeding, die off, feeding and on it goes. To stop the cycle, you have to change your diet. It's not just about denying candida, it is also about building the immune system with good healthy foods and giving up sugar, wheat/gluten yeast etc isn't a bad thing even if you don't have candida. It's recommended by Hal Huggins, as sugar lowers immunity and can cause far reaching problems. Wheat is treated with mercury fungicide and contains gluten (which can cause problems in gluten intolerant people).
Therefore, to me? If it works? It's well worth it, even to have a better quality of life. It takes perserverance and the cravings will worsen at first and you might feel irritated, cranky and miserable temporarily as you go through withdrawal. You first think "I cannot do this" "I can't go on" because the cravings for these toxic foods increase as the yeast and other organisms start reduce. They also release their own toxins as they die off and that increases temporarily feelings of sickness. As the effects of these poisonous foods (that is how I see them) start to come out of you and the poison with them.
I remember how I had so many toxins come out of my brain on the candida diet, I was crying, had headaches, but at the end of it? I felt like the sun had come out. I was lucky then though because I could still consume fruit, high carbohydrate vegetables, wheat/gluten free grain and consume healthy treats like sugar free carob. I even ate potatoe chips almost daily.....yet I was doing very well (even with amalgams). It took a couple of weeks or more to notice changes and the changes were worth everything. Later the cravings reduced anyway, so I didn't feel too hard done by. Temporarily they increase, so it's a battle at first until you get the upperhand.
So for me, it's about controlling the worse of the problems and building immunity. It should be a cure if the issue is temporary, but it will never be temporary if you have a permanent or long term underlying health problem. YEast will always return no matter WHAT you do in that case. Even the most expensive high quality supplements will not cure a yeast problem because the issue is immune, (unless it's been caused temporarily by a round of antibiotics or something else that you can eventually bounce back from if you do the right things).
However, if mercury is still in your system, or you are suffering from long term virus or other immune challenge, then candida will always be there waiting to grow back. I have used supplements before and they don't do enough. The diet is essential. For me it's not even a question, I stick with the diet unless I manage to cure the underlying problem and then I'd be able to loosen up again I'm sure and possibly cheat with nothing too devastating happening.
Even the oxygen therapy may not be so effective, if the underlying problem remains which allowed yeast to grow in excess in the first place. These treatments will probably work if the person has got something that can be cured/detoxed out of their body, which allows them to gain strength and recover over time. Then their immunity keeps yeast at healthy levels without too much effort. I also cannot afford much, so I do what I can with what I have. My diet is healthy, so I have no issues with sticking with it.
You will know how much you can handle with the diet yourself. Everybody is different. My immunity once wasn't nearly this bad, so I could eat a loose candida diet. Only had to eliminate the obvious sugars, wheat/gluten and yeast. That's it. Everything else I coudl pretty much eat. But things have changed now and I have some other condition I deal with, worse than the mercury. So I have made the appropriate adjustments in the meantime to keep me sane. It's not easy no, but it sure beats being completely bedridden.
You can sort out what helps you get through each day as you detox the mercury. If you can handle a looser diet and still function? Then hey, that's fine. However, if you are REALLY hurting? I mean severe depression, suicidal, severely anxious, unable to barely function? You may find the diet a life saver for you. And whatever else you decide to use as well....
If you find the oxygen etc, helps you without the diet? whatever works for you is the key. I wouldn't personally spend alot of money on ongoing supplementation like that, when the real issue isn't really candida anyway, it's just an opportunist and a side effect of a much bigger problem at work. Candida is a sign a person's immunity is low and can no longer keep yeast where it should be. The cause of this is the what we need to look at, but treating yeast in the meantime can at least reduce the misery it causes and help a person cope easier.
If you do think about doing the diet, I'd hazard a guess and say you'd probably get away with what I used to get away with and not have to be as strict. Sugar is bad, wheat/gluten is bad anyway for many mercury toxic people (and other illnesses), I'd not eat either, especially when trying to heal/detox.
