Hi Lynn,
Well I always associate metal taste with metal because it seems to have been connected with that each time with me. And chelation of some kind usually proved it.
As yeast absorb heavy metals and apparently can hold their own weight in mercury, it's no surprise then that if one reduces yeast by diet/antifungals, that the dying yeast may release not only it's yeast toxins, but also any metals it may have contained. This apparently has been verified by urine testing (before and after antifungal use).
Diet isn't as bad, because it gradually starves out excess yeast and they sicken and die. Though this still releases toxins, you may not get the extreme/acute symptoms that you may have gotten from antifungals (depending on how bad a person is poisoned). Antifungals are more aggressive apparently and can split open yeast cell walls on contact. So yeah, if your yeast contain metal, you can imagine.
So it is possible that your metal taste might be a bit of metal release from the yeast being reduced by the olive leaf extract. it's too hard to tell though. There maybe other reasons for metal taste too, but for me it did appear to be directly related to metals. Which is why the chelation worked so well after antifungal use had killed off so much yeast.
I don't think it'll be the royal jelly somehow, but you could always stop taking it and see which one is doing what. controlling yeast is a good idea always. Excess yeast, though it may "bugger" some of the metals, easily warps out of control with sugars/gluten/ etc in the diet and becomes an illness in and of itself. It then takes over, releases it's own toxins continually into the blood stream (which can affect the brain) and can make an already poisoned person FAR sicker. Can be the last straw. A certain amount of yeast will always be at a higher level in a metal toxic system, but the key is not to consume stuff that this already overgrown yeast will thrive upon and have the potential to turn into a nightmare situation.
I've been there and I was very close to ending my life many times. Not just because of mercury, but also the yeast. Double the dose of toxicity in the same system. If one does decide to address yeast, they need to do so strictly. Cheating doesn't work, even small cheats can maintain a high yeast level. I had to give everything up completely in order to slowly start feeling the excess yeast reduce. THen I got sicker by the increase in toxins as it was dying, but when my body processed them and caught up, I felt much better.
Usually it takes a few weeks or more to start feeling more normal. But relapses happen when a person gets weak and decides to cheat on their diet. Unless of course the underying condition has been fixed, to where the immunity can now keep yeast under control without the need for such a diet and the person can loosen up. If however the underlying condition hasn't been addressed, one usually finds they relaspe completely after they cheat on the diet. At least that's how it is for me. It shouldn't be that way, but sadly it is for some of the conditions people suffer.
