With all due respect to Klinghardt et al, we do have to consider that it is in their own best interests to not have people attempt their own detoxification. I am not saying that we should go into it blindly - this forum is a good place to start gathering information - but we have to consider some facts.

One fact is that some folks with a mouthful of mercury fillings have none, and I mean none, of the usual symptoms, including the up & down symptoms.

Another fact is that some people who detox by whatever method do not get terrible "side" effects.

Why might this be? In my view, because some people have a tough constitution: their body can absorb plenty of mercury, decade after decade, before it does any damage. When they do a detox, their inherent strength takes over to minimize the flooding of the body with mercury. It's like water-only fasts; not everyone can handle it.

The weaker you are, the worse it will be. So, I would work on my own overall constitutional health before I work on any specific detox.

Doctors don't appear to recognize the idea of constitutional strength, but if you do some reading on Chinese medicine, and some other nature-based cures, this idea does come up. I don't think everyone was meant to be attempting detox of mercury or anything else without regard to their basic constitutional health.

Please keep in mind that in the "olden days", before antibiotics and un-natural hightech medicine, nature wisely sent bacteria- or virus-type diseases to clean people out - which killed some, in order to keep the entire tribe strong. So anyone who survived the scarlet fever, bubonic plague, etc. was a tough bird. We have almost no tough birds any more. And that is why detox is so hard for so many of us.

Animals feel pain & suffering just as we do, and they value their lives as much as we value ours.
