I agree. I sometimes wonder how many symptoms mercury itself causes, as opposed to how many symptoms are caused from candida overgrowth/paraistes etc, due to the immune suppressive action of mercury....though mercury is a neurotoxin, so it's hardly benign and would indeed cause symptoms. But it's hard to tell which is causing what. Which is why it's a great idea to treat all these conditions as though each were to blame, because they are often all involved.
Though mercury requires amalgam removal and chelation to treat, it's wise to treat candida/parasites to reduce symptoms (which may even treat a case of severe depression and suicidal thoughts, which candida can also cause). It has been a life saver for many to do this alone, even without removal of mercury. However, not always and evenso, the problems won't go away until the underlying condition is treated (mercury, or whatever it maybe).
I have found diet to be the main and most effective way of truly treating candida. The rest? Are supplementary and are best not to use unless you are on the diet. Otherwise you'll be feeding the problem by not doing the diet, yet killing it with antifungals at the sametime, which is fruitless. It also causes ongong die off and the toxins from that will continue because the diet is not in place. This also means the liver has to continually cope with this also. It can even cause vomiting.
I have found the diet to be effective alone and I do not take antifungals, though I have in the past. I never found them to be a long term resolution though. Not only does diet reduce yeast if done properly, it builds immunity and many natural foods are antifungal in nature anyway. I don't believe there is any need to spend lots of money on expensive antifungal supplements, unless a person really wants to.
