Hi Lynn,

I think that's a great sign that the Algin is helping. When I had my amalgams still in, irritability and anger were big problems for me. Getting the mercury out has completely changed me.

What's really interesting is that if I eat any fish, I can feel those old feelings of irritability start up again. But if I take 3 to 4 capsules of Algin, they start to go away in about 15 minutes.

If it were me, I would definitely continue letting her take the Algin. Based on the things you told me on the phone, she's most likely been heavily exposed to mercury and it will take some time to detox.

Right now, the only other thing I'd suggest trying would be to have her start taking lots of vitamin C. If she doesn't want to swallow anything else, there's a really good vitamin C powder you can get called Vitamin C Ascorbates. Unlike a lot of other powdered vitamin C I've seen, this one provides the added benefits of citrus bioflavonoids (they help the body utilize the vitamin C) and it doesn't contain any sugar. You can mix the powder into juice or even water...it has a slight orange flavor and since it's buffered with minerals, it's not acidic. I'd try taking 3 to 4,000mg a day if you can. Vitamin C will greatly help the body in so many ways and it's particularly helpful for mercury detox.
