Do flu vaccines contain mercury? Are they all the same or is there a way to find out if some do not contain it?

It's working for me, however, I often get errors when visiting Mercola's website (25% of the time).
You might want to try again at a different time.

Is "thiomersal" the ingredient that contains mercury?
I found a vaccine called vaxigrip that is thiomersal free, so I thought this one may be mercury free. Any thoughts? Aventis Pasteur is the manifacturer which was on your list.

I looked at 5 different websites about Vaxigrip. Three of the websites specifically cautioned people against taking Vaxigrip if they had a known "sensitivity" to thimerosal. One website listed formaldehyde and traces of Neomycin as ingredients. The Aventis Pasteur website also warned against allergy to formaldehyde, Neomycin and Ocotxinol 9. Perhaps thimerosal is used in the formulation process and there are "traces" of it in the end product. I can't tell for sure. Instead of risking a possible reaction to thimerosal, or at least having formaldehyde injected into your bloodstream, I would personally recommend taking supplements that strengthen your immune system, like: Vitamin CElderberry DefenseSeasonal DefenseThis way, you're naturally helping your body's own defense mechanisms. Besides, according to statistics I've heard concerning the 2004 (?) flu season, 97% of those that contracted the flu had actually received the flu shot.

I really don't know if it has traces of mercury. My sister has inflexal. I was worried about what she was having so found that article. She has one every year because she has bad asthma and has an inhaler so they give her one every year. They also wanted her to have pneumonia, but she refused that one as it made her sick one time. Is "thiomersal" the ingredient that contains mercury?

thimerosal is a very dangerous form of mercury; I remember watching a video from (now dont quote me here because I may not remember everything right <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> senator Burton. And it showed what thimerosal can do to nerve cells; it basically detroys them. It would be like taking fire to paper. There is a link somewhere of a similar video out there.
anyways; the flu shot is from last season anyways and who wants to be injected with all the chemicals and a virus?
Best way to help protect yourself from the flu is to help build up your immune system.
Mega dosing of Vit C, garlic, echinasea (misspelled I know) are great ways to help protect yourself. Oh chiropractic works great also. ie take pressure off the nerves to let your body reach its maxium potential.
