A good website about DI is this one. There isn't much out there about it. And not all DI's are the same either, so it's tough to even find people with the same type as you.

I have central diabetes insipidus. The cause of mine would be under the "idiopathic" section which accounts for more than 50% of DI cases. I wonder how many people in the idiopathic category has mercury poisoning like me. I have NO doubt at all mine is from mercury. Typically people with DI have it from birth, immediately following an accident or brain surgery. Mine just came out of no where when I was 17.

What makes my DI weird though is that not every day is bad. Some days I am totally normal. Other days I am really bad. This makes regulating my medication very difficult for me. I think this is what Dr. Cutler calls partial diabetes insipidus. My pituitary is working a little bit, but not all the time and certainly not at optimal levels. This makes me think other pituitary hormones aren't at optimal either, but I haven't had any others checked. There's just so many tests I could have done to further "prove" what I have, but I'm just ready to begin detoxing. Put this stuff in the past and finally live my life. laugh

These are your anterior pituitary hormones [TSH, FSH, LH,GH, PRL, ACTH] This is probably where your problem lies. You can click on each hormone to get a more in depth explanation.
