KCB, I like your approach. I would rather use more raw garlic than vitamin E. I eat plenty of nuts on my low carb diet, so I might soon discontinue my vitamin E supplementation. Right now I am taking 200 IU a day of vitamin E supplements. Many tend to forget that vitamins or herbs can have adverse effects if too much is used. It is a stress on the body to get rid of a large excess. Besides which, why be wasteful. So many here are focused on the mercury. The mercury is what initially injured the immune system, however it is just a small part of the story. Candida overgrowth and/or parasites are next part. If ones body is very toxic from candida and/or parasites, then they probably won't do well during chelation, and may not get rid of much mercury. If one can get the candida and/or parasites greatly reduced before chelation, then chelation will probably be much more effective, and much less uncomfortable. I too thought that if I could only get rid of the mercury ASAP, I would magically get well. Now I realize that I need to lessen the toxic burden on my body first, then I can later chelate effectively, dragging out deeply stored mercury from my organs into my blood, then efficiently excreting it. If the body is too toxic when doing chelation, then then blood mercury levels might go way up, and the body might not be able to lower them effectively(perhaps leading to much greater candida and/or parasite problems. Everyone is exposed to parasite eggs, but those with a strong immune system can fight them off much of the time. Eating raw garlic on a continuous basis may also be a good way to help prevent reinfection by parasites once one gets rid of them.
