Hi mercuryfree, just about the "natural sugars" (high carb foods). They can certainly be as bad as typical sugar. For me, I cannot not have any fruit, any grain (even non gluten), any corn, carrots, peas, beans, potatoes, any milk etc. All of those had to be eliminated, or I would get continual die off symptoms, which is like being constantly toxic.

For a serious candida diet. Safe foods (at least for me) appear to be eggs (free range a must), meat/chicken (free range if possible), low carb vegetables, nuts (almonds and brazil appear to be the best for candida), raw seeds (pumpkin and sunflower), acidophilus sugar free yoghurt, herbal tea (black tea maybe ok too). Healthy fats are good also - butter (in cooking and/or on food), extra virgin olive oil (in salads), flaxseed oil and fish oil (mercury free).

Eliminate toxic plant/vegetable oils like canola, soy, etc. The only vegetable oil that is apparently fit for human consumption is olive oil.

Coconut oil is ok too, apparently very beneficial, though I find it produces too much die off which is often ongoing. I skipped it.

As "tomatoes" are often classified as a "fruit" then that, plus lemons is the ONLY fruit allowed. The rest will feed candida, if you have a pretty stubborn case of it and a very low immunity.

I know I've repeated this so many times on this forum, but if other people's memory is as bad as mine, then repeating it may help. It can give you an idea of the type of diet that maybe best for yeast, as I have been there for years now and with a stubborn viral type infection, I've had to get this strict with my diet. I did not used to have to be THIS strict and once only had to eliminate obvious sugar and wheat/gluten and yeast. That was it. I could eat fruit, non gluten grain and high carbohydrate vegetables. I wish I could do that now, but not since this infection.
