Mercuryfree, you don't have to wait three months. You can chelate before then, 4 days following removal according to Cutler. The only problem is, you would be wise to avoid brain chelating agents (like cilantro, Alpha lipic Acid (ALA) etc), because your blood/tissue levels of mercury and other areas will still likely be quite high in mercury. They will be going down gradually following amalgam removal, but you can speed this up with DMSA and it may also help control symptoms.

Some people just use DMSA and heal from that alone as I think it's FAR more powerful than given credit for and does a pretty good job of clearing mercury out. However, after three months post amalgam removal, you can have the option of using brain chelating agents, as mercury levels in your blood etc are lowered enough to be able to do this.

This is why I think people say do not chelate until 3 months are up, because they are probably talking about how your body will be lowering it's own extra cellular mercury gradually in that time. You can let it do this on its own , or speed it up wtih DMSA.

Some people have a real issue after about 6 months or more following amalgam removal as stored mercury begins to start dumping out. It's known as the second phase of suffering. For some it can happen earlier, others it can happen later. 6 months is the typical time period, but I took over a year for mine to start. Which may not have occured, had I been actively chelating beforehand, which may have lowered mercury levels before the dumping started!

Your supplement list looks excellent. Also make sure you get enough iodine in your diet, quite a few of us are deficient and mercury displaces it, blocks the action of it in the thyroid, which may account for why many need thyroid treatment. Iodine has been known to be very helpful for some, but should start out slowly and low dose to check for reactions. It can also precipitate some metal excretion, because once you get enough iodine, metals can be naturally excreted from binding sites.

I'd be careful though if you are on thyroid medication as well. The two may not mix too well....I'm not sure enough about it. Some who have taken iodine, have been able to go off thyroid medication as their thyroid has improved its function. Check these out (click on them):
