The purpose of my posts is also not to trade insults. Nor is it just to attack creationist arguments.
Hovind's argument about the Grand Canyon is not a bad argument because it is a
creationist argument, it is a bad argument because it
doesn't address all the evidence of the actual topology, and it is a bad argument because it is
not based on what flows from bursting dams actually look like.
We can look at arguments on their merits rather than their source. For instance this argument does not depend on who the woman is or what her personal beliefs are (warning extreme ignorance is involved):

This is an extremely poor argument because it is not based on facts and evidence of objective reality about light behavior and prismatic effects of water droplets.
A bad argument is a bad argument no matter the source of the argument, and pointing out that it is a bad argument is not insulting or hateful, it is the truth.
