I plan on having my mercury fillings removed. I was wondering does the dental practitioner also arrange the detox such as the colon hydrotherapy or DMPS? What type of practitioner do you arrange to get that done with? Plus what exactly is colon hydrotherapy and DMPS?

No. Usually it's up to you to detox, unless you go to an elite treatment center like the Huggins-run clinic in Mexico.

For DMPS, I went to a small private clinic in St. Petersburg Florida and just requested it. Most places will require you to have a prescription. They also might require you to have a battery of tests first but don't let them force you to do that. It's just for their financial benefit.

As for colon hydrotherapy... there are places specializing in this in most major cities. Check your yellow pages or the Internet.

And by the way, when you have your fillings removed, you may want to make sure they are removed safely and in the right order. This can be a dangerous proceedure for someone who is not specially trained and the order in which they are removed can adversely affect whether your body starts dumping mercury or not.

It's important to educate yourself on this issue and if you decide to have amalgam fillings removed, I highly recommend you only have a dentist who was trained by Hal Huggins perform the procedure. Mercury is a highly toxic waste.

DMPS: About $150 to $200 per session

BTW: My removal cost about $75 for each small amalgam and about $150 for each large amalgam, plus a one-time fee of $250 for the initial consultation. I consider this very reasonable. Don't be surprised if you have to pay 25% more.

Be careful. I personally know of dentists who are not specially trained in mercury removal charging $10,000 for replacement of 10 fillings.

I just my upper and lower amalgym fillings removed ( my Dentist belongs to DAMS).....I have temporary caps right now and will have my right side done 1 month from now....after that my front teeth (they have root canals) will be removed, again I will have caps and probably a beautiful smile...:o)....the cost so far for all the work is estimated at $ 17,000.00.....thought it was quite steep but have no choice, too many health problems...

Just returned from dentist, not a Huggins..related guy. Had 4 Amalgam fillings removed in upper left. I have been suffering heavily for a year now, and had everything from severe chest pains and nausea to surges of pressure in my teeth, head pressures, and burning throat and gums. I called Huggins office for refferrel, but last time I recall the guy in LA doing this "Mercury Trained" removal dental work was charging a boatload of money, every single test was very expensive. "All in Your Head' is a detailed book on this dilema, but its not uncomplicated by any means, and fails to answer alot of questions. I've already gone through over $1100 bucks in 3 dental visits, and def. will need a detox program.

No doubt it is not simple, but the book, "It's All In Your Head" gave me all the info I needed to call several Dentist offices and ask questions I needed answers to.

The book has information about choosing the right Dentist. I went through the chapter, wrote down the questions and found a great Dentist w/o much trouble at all. The price was reasonable too.

I also feel the same about how my life was ruined. Who do I get to sue? I was someone who affected peoples lives and had an unstoppable passion for life until I crashed and burned on mercury.

Sometimes it's not hard to believe that someone, somewhere is making a whole lot of money from treating the myriad of illnesses caused by mercury and that they know exctly what's going on. They will try to convince us that they were ignorant of the whole thing. Perhaps they don't mind being called ignorant as long as the cash keeps rolling.

...And this theory gets even easier to believe when you consider that mercury is used in vaccines as a preservative. Can you think of anything more stupid... or perhaps more brilliant... to keep people poppin Prozac and the like?

Think very carefully (and logically) about it. Could there really be people in the world this bad? Educated people know that there always has been. It's better the face it than go into denial about it as so many Americans do. I wish we would all wise up.

I don't know about all the quotes regarding the last part.....but I do know thar yesterday I had severe heart/chest pains and dizziness/ coupled with fatigue,....and today had 3 bottom left Amalgams removed for $520.00.In 4 visits, I've spent $540, $685,and $529 dollars with this dentist.I plan on seeing the Huggins-referral dentist in Woodland Hills, so I didn'tmake another appointment with this dentist today.It's obvious whatever the Mercury/and or other chemicals /metals has periodic affects on my nervous system in severe ways. And tiredness and extreme agitation at times.My appetite, however, has remained fairly decent throughout this horror.Received a list of dental materials used by California dentists at this guys office today......composites are resin/glass powder that the paper states has "No Documented" adverse or toxic reactions to people,....but contains the compounds in Prop.65 which involves the Mercury-Amalgams!!!! To a laymen, this is extremely confusing and I just don't know what to think. The material was "baked" unto my teeth immedietely after Amalgams were stripped off using a Blue Light, which physically somewhat resembles ann electric toothbrush and gives two distinct "Beep-Beeps" when the resin is fuly cooked onto the surface of the teeth previously containing the Amalgams. Is there any interpretation of all this medical/dental jargon? Crazy as this sounds, sometimes my symptoms appear to be increased when I drive my car and/or refuel, .....I'm sure I sound absolutely insane by now, but I can only describe things as they are. Could it have been that gasoline fumes cause some kind of reaction with the Mercury-Amalgams in my mouth? I know it sounds like total lunacy, but more often than not my symptoms go haywire when I'm around fumes, including prolonged exposure to cigarette smoke.

My aunt got an estimate for over $10,000 for the replacement of about 10 fillings. I had mine done (all 9 of them) for well under $3000 (if I remember correctly).

I lost the prime years of my life. I'm 39 and although I'm feeling pretty good (my amalgams are out), my life would have been very different had the ADA not lied to us all. I totally understand your anger.

Went to Huggins referral dentist two days ago, real nic guy who examined a gum boil which developed after the root canal. The guy reffered me to an oral doctor who met with me today and prescribed some powerful antibiotics to go with the 2000mg of Penicillin a day I'm taking. Couldn't stand the guy,......he was impolite, totally reluctant to give info or opinions,...and get this........he actally said it "remains debatable if Mercury is toxic to the human body" I don't see how any person can say that,....even if they argue that it doesn't leach off the fillings or crowns,... how can they say its arguable as to whether Mercury on its own is "possibly" non-toxic to the anatomy?

Huggins-referral dentist in Woodland Hills was very nice,....but the oral doctor in Encino I saw yesterday was cold, uninformative, and defensive.As gentle as I asked a few questions, he seemed to take it as though I was undermining his knowledge to have the nerve to ask or question materials used or procedures. Of course, he wants me back in 9 days, but I'm going to call the dentist in Woodland Hills(who, BTW...is the ONLY Huggins referral dentist in the entire state of Californa!!!) and make my feelings known about his guy in Encino.I don't appreciate doctors who also act like they're doing me some huge favor and that they're going out of their way to talk to me for 5 minutes, then write a prescription. 1. I have spotted some floaters in both of my eyes approximately

The most well designed detox plan I can find is Dr. Andrew Cutlers protocol. You can find info online. He has a book called Amalgam Illness.

People poisoned by mercury become chemically sensitive to many other things due to our suppressed immune function and state of ill health. Gasoline, car exhaust, smoke, etc all make me instantly sick. They do not seem to bother non mercury people.

Funny you mention it being "accepted" or not in Australia. I know it sure isn't "accepted" here. We just have a few dentist walking the edge to help others because they know the ADA is wrong. Most of them have to practice low profile!

Tell the dentist to state in writing that mercury is non toxic or ask to tape record.Ask him to cite articles in scientific journals.

Marek, I would advise you to find a good ND and biological dentist to help you, it is very dangerous to attempt this on your own. Also everyone's situation is different and the supplements prescribed would be different also.
