The pharmaceutical industry began taking control of medical education in the 1930s. During this time, various effective cancer treatments were removed from the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference), iridology and other simple and effective diagnostic tools were removed from medical education (my grandfather was taught iridology in medical school many years ago), and the proper process for diagnosing mercury was also removed from the medical curriculum. The dumbing down of doctors has hindered their ability to diagnose the single largest cause of disease in history: Mercury toxicity, and this has has enabled pharmaceutical companies to become the second largest industry in the world (oil is the largest).
