Why we all need Vitamin B12, is an article from todays newspaper.
Vitamin B12 is also known as Cobalamin and was the last B vitamin to be identified. It plays a vital part in the manufacture of red blood cells, which are needed to carry oxygen round the body. Cobalamin is also needed for a healthy nervous system. Deficiency can lead to pernicious anaemia, extreme fatigue, and neurological symptoms such as forgetfulness, dizziness, tingling and loss of co-ordination. Low levels are also linked to depression and mood swings. Dr Joseph Chandy of Shinwell Medical Group in Horden, Durham, has treated hundreds of patients over 25 years. He believes B12 deficiency is a forgotten illness, affecting up to 12 per cent of the population. The scale of the problem is vastly underestimated, he says, because doctors are using out-of-date criteria to identify the condition. His work has shown B12 deficiency has no respect for age or gender- his patients include a boy of 10 and people in their 80s. The deficiency can be caused by a number of factors, including a vegetarian or vegan diet, because B12 is found naturally in animal sources such as meat, liver, fish eggs and milk. However some people,s bodies fail to absorb vitamin B12 direcrty from food- and the only way this balance can be redressed is regular injections directly into their blood.
It can be dangerous to over-dose on any vitamin, including vitamin B12. If you think you are deficient in this vitamin, seek medical advice. My own opinion is to take a vitamin b complex, at the recommended dose, every day.

To add to this...
Mercury interferes with the proper processing of B-12 which leads to elevated homocysteine. Elevated homocysteine leads to heart disease, elevated cholesterol, and much more.

Specifically, mercury interferes with the methylation of B-12. In short, this means that mercury toxic persons often cannot use the B-12 they consume.
These people have to use a pre-methylated B-12. You can get it in finer health food stores. It will go under the following titles:
Methyl-B-12 Methylated B-12 Methylcobalamin
Taking this can lower homocysteine levels. Elevated homocysteine can cause high cholesterol, fatigue, brain fog, arteriosclerosis, and heart attacks.

Welcome. I'll be honest with you. The best E that you can buy is right here: Vitamin EIt's also important to take E with Selenium, especially in today's mercury toxic world. Mercury depletes Selenium from the body.

I'll check it all out Russ. I've let my distributor status expire, but if I reinstate, do we get any discount in that case? I'll really look into all that when I'm ready to buy... started but got sidetracked by the forum when I found your site : ) I bought some cheapy E, but know there are superior forms of it. I wish insurance covered health supplements. It would save insurance companies in the long run!

Reading the link. Wow. You pack a lot into your stuff! I have wanted more health info from the company before. Very nice! Things have come a ways since I was really into all this.... Or I hadn't noticed the part about heart disease cause it wasn't something I was concerned about before. This is great, though.

Hey Jeanie,
We always sell at member price if you call Laura and order from her.
I'm glad you like the information. We actually are the primary third-party publisher for NSP products now. We've been at it over 11 years now.
I love doing research because people need solid knowledge, especially to counter all of the media lies out there. Misinformation kills and the media has been at it longer then I've been alive.
Let me know if I can help in any way.
I really don't mean to ever push the products on anybody. I just believe in them and it helps (a little) to get a little exposure via the forum.
