This is a really good video of a lecture by Dr. Robert Bransfield on the topic of Lyme Disease and Lyme Co-Infections contributing to Autism Spectrum Disorder. The video is 6:30 minutes in length: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4_gZbEnTxE

Oh.. (((( Smiles )))) I just noticed this post and that is so interesting.. My daughters doctor recently said we should have our severe daughter tested for Lyme as I mentioned also I was bit by something in the backyard before I came down with T&H..
I did get tested at our HMO after 6 months as vector control said that I should wait so it would show up.. but it came out negitive.. Why I was so concerned was because I got flu like symptoms following that... I'm not sure what it was that bit me to this day but I got a rash that spread where bitten..
It looked like tons of flea bites.. It was real itchy too.. When I told my daughters doctor that.. she said I should get tested again and have my daughter tested too because she played out in that yard too..
But I was tested and my HMO said it turned out negitive.. I did wait the 6 months.. But she still thought I should get tested again.. That was so long ago were talking years and years ago...
And vector control said he only knew of one case in that area.. And people do travel doesn't mean they caught it there..
And I've also had routine blood tests since then.. Wouldn't something like that maybe show up in other blood tests as something abnormal???? Not as lymes but as something there... And nothing ever has I'm suppose to be healthy by their tests...
So I just accepted that as ruled out..
But my daughter showed autistic symptoms before we moved there and before that happened to me.. But it would be interesting to know as she's more severe still and my other child has recovered alot from her worse days of autism..
Doesn't mean she has lyme though.. Or that I do either... But it's an interesting concept... But also she referred a book to me about natural help for Lymes.. I wrote it down somewhere... It's just been a more busy time of year for me.. No School..
But if someone had lymes for years.. What could the doctors really do anyway??? Except give you lots of antibiotic's... And that doesn't allways work and that could cause one harm as well... I've read about this alot with hyperacusis as hyperacusis can be common in Lymes Disease... Because I've thought about it with me yet..... Yet they ruled it out.. I believe mine was triggered by noise trauma.. Antibiotic and who knows what else as well... It's still kind of a mystery to me... Why me and not someone else in thoses kinds of like circumstances.. But ya.. We should have her tested..
Thanks Lynn
