Well, Wiki must be wrong because Jeanie's quote from the book of Mormon specifically states that Moroni was a man. A man with brethren in chains and bondage. He was a man. He wrote the Book of Mormon on the Golden Tablets and buried them about 450 years after Christ's birth. After, he died, Moroni was elevated to angel status. You could have read the articles to find this stuff out.
