Funnily enough, I have experienced bouts of this quite recently. I cannot imagine having it full time. The sensation is almost like bells going off in the ears over almost any sound. penetrating! Painful in a way I cannot describe and it makes you want to hit someone. I found any sound upset me.

It has made me realise now what it is like and I understand it more now. I'm just glad it's not with me more often! (cross fingers).
