Today, we added a new forum called "Hyperacusis". Wikipedia defines Hyperacusis this way: "Hyperacusis is a health condition characterized by an over-sensitivity to certain frequency ranges of sound (a collapsed tolerance to normal environmental sound). A person with severe hyperacusis has difficulty tolerating everyday sounds, some of which may seem unpleasantly loud to that person but not to others."It is interesting to note that I had these symptoms when I was mercury toxic ( read my story). This fact causes me to consider whether Hyperacusis is related to mercury toxicity. Nevertheless, we hope this forum becomes active and helps people find the information they are searching for.

Hi Russ, (((( Smiles ))))
I know your probably real busy .... So take your time in answering... and it probably doesn't really matter anyway... and it's probably something I should figure out on my own.. But I'm not sure how this works here and I was just wondering... So I'll place it here too just in case... But if it changes anything but the time zone.. Then I don't want to fix it.. But I was just wondering... Are we all going by New York time here or is there a way to adjust my time clock on my posts as they are all off by a couple of hours.. It was that way on the other board for me as well at one time and then I found the place on the board to correct them.. And it just changed all the times on my posts but "nothing else".. Is there a way to do that here or not?? Or do we all go by New York time here... Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place for this type of question.. Just wanted to know..
Thank You Lynn <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/roseinbloom.gif" alt="" />

Yep, click on My Home at the top of the page, then click "Edit" to the right of "Display Preferences".
The third item down lets you adjust your time in reference to the time on the forum. The forum uses New York time, so if you were in California, you would enter -3 in the box.
Hope this helps.

If I had to re-register.. It won't effect anything right??? Hi Russ, (((( Smiles ))))
Tell me what I'm doing wrong???? I'm just not sure... I deleted cookies and had to re- login in because of it, on another network I'm on.. Haven't had to do that in along time so I know it worked.. But it doesn't work here.. Why not?????? What do I try next.... Any suggestions will help... Anything else I need to get rid of or change on my computer.. To get back on the board again.. I'm at a loss on what to do next...
Thanks Lynn <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />

We're in the middle of upgrading the forum software so perhaps this is what happened. We should be finished tomorrow night so I'm hoping the problem will be resolved them. If not, please let me know.
If this happens to anyone else, please let me know by emailing me at russ at herballure dot com.
Thanks!

Or an articule on Soft Sound Sensitivity Syndrome... also called misophonia by others... One of these variations involves strong negative reaction to soft sounds, in particular, sounds associated with eating, breathing, speaking, or lip smacking. http://www.tinnitus-audiology.com/softsound.html
