Susan, ginger, licorice root, cinnamon, and clove, may help settle your digestive system. I use these herbs.

"As an anti-hepatotoxic licorice is effective in the treatment of chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis, for which it is been widely used in Japan. Much of the liver orientated research has focused upon the triterpene glycyrrhizin. This inhibits hepatocyte injury caused by carbon tetrachloride, benzene hexachloride and PCB. Antibody production is enhanced by glycyrrhizin, possibly through the production of interleukin.

Glycyrrhizin inhibits the growth of several DNA and RNA viruses, inactivating Herpes simplex virus particles irreversibly. It has a variety of uses in bronchial problems such as catarrh, bronchitis and coughs in general. Liquorice is used in allopathic medicine as a treatment for peptic ulceration, a similar use to its herbal use in gastritis and ulcers. It can be used in the relief of abdominal colic."

Too much licorice root can cause high blood pressure, so don't overdo it.

"Ginger root is a medicinal herb used primarily for the treatment of Dyspepsia (discomfort after eating), this includes the symptoms of bloating, heartburn, flatulence, and nausea. It is also considered helpful as a preventative for motion sickness and as a digestive."

Imo you should fight the candida for a while before resuming the chelation. You might also want to do a parasite clense before resuming chelation. The herbs in a parasite cleanse have mild laxative properties. There are several parasite cleanses. Most center around 3 herbs, wormwood, black walnut green hull extract, and clove. Some add quassia, and other herbs. Some here have used Humaworm and liked it. Others have bought a formula available locally. The parasite cleanses are also potent antifungals, so you might want to start using more mild antifungals a few weeks before using them, such as cinnamon and licorice, then try eating a clove of raw garlic after each meal, then step up to a parasite cleanse. If you can decrease the toxic load from candida (and perhaps also parasites?) then the chelation will be easier for your body to handle. There are so many different parasites, and most are too small to be seen without using a microscope.
