I tried my 1st round of DMSA, 25 mg. every 3 hrs. for 3 days. I just could not do 4 days. My body said to stop. I am glad I did not start with 50 mg. as it would have been too much for me. I had severe fatigue, insomnia, headaches, and increased neurological symptoms. The 3rd day was so bad I had to increase my pain medication.
I have been off DMSA 6 days. I want to start another round but don't feel like I have recovered enough from my first attempt. I am not a baby and know how to tough it out.
But soon as I started DMSA my face broke out in red bumps and I got a bad yeast infection. Has this ever happened to anyone? I wondered if I was allergic to it. Is this possible? Does DMSA cause yeast infections?
With the help of Alprazolam I was finally sleeping at night, which enabled me to endure my miserable mercury life during the day. But once I started taking DMSA I slept 3 days out of the 9 day duration. Now, I am back in the phase of when I used to feel psychotic. I feel very irritable!
I want to follow Dr. Cutler's protocol but in his book he did say it is not "carved in stone". He did say to expect a rise in symptoms once you start chelating. He also said it does not "make sense to tolerate side effects worse than the original condition to accomplish this."
I am so sick with mercury poisoning that I am completely disabled. This happened when my old amalgams started leeching. I went to a dentist and he drilled them using no mercury removal protocol, which made me very ill. I am either in bed or on the couch. If I get on the computer it is only when I really NEED to.
I also have Lyme Disease, Mycoplasma, and viral infections. My thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands are dysfunctional and treated with medications. I have Hepatitis C, which has been in remission since 1999. I use a walker to get around. I have colon/liver/pancreas pain 24/7. I also have Candida and no gut mobility so I have to use health products to keep my colon cleaned out. I have numerous food allergies and stick to a strict diet. I take food enzymes and supplements.
Any help to my questions above or advice would be greatly appreciated. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hospitalbed.gif" alt="" /> [color:"purple"] [/color]
