Hi there, i wonder if anyone can help me, i have been suffering from mercury poisoning for a long time now and have just recently diagnosed myself after being sent from doctor to doctor and dentist to dentist with no answers. I had a Kelmer Mercury test done recently and got the results, but i have no idea what they mean. Can anybody interpret them for me so i have some idea? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Urine before tablets results: mercury = 4 ug/l creatinine = 20.5 mmol/l mercury/creatiniine ratio = 0.97 mmol/Hg creatinine <200
Urine after tablets results: mercury = 7 ug/l creatinine =6.4 mmol/l mercury/creatinine ratio = 5.46 mmol/hg creatinine
mercury increase corrected for creatinine is 461% (normal up to 150%)
Any ideas please?! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi Antoinette (love the name <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )
I know nothing about this test, but from what you've posted, I'd say that the tablets have drawn mercury out of your body. So, when you had the first test, the ratio of mercury to the creatinine (whatever that is!) was low. After the test, it was high.
I think the test shows you have abnormal ratio of mercury i.e. your mercury ration to creatinine is too high, suggesting you are toxic,
That is what I would take from it - but as I say, I don't know anything about this test.

PS I have diagnosed myself aswell. I can't get a doctor or dentist to give me a diagnosis. But I am convinced I have mercury toxicity, given my symptoms and onset of my problems.

Hi Antoinette,
I have read that anything higher than 3ug of mercury is considered high.
I also self-diagnosed myself by doing a 24 hr urine test using NDF as the chelator. I took 52 drops in the morning and again in the evening. The report showed that there was 6ug of mercury. In Australia this is considered well within the normal range, so the doctor wasn't concerned. The only thing that he was concerned about was the amount of urine I had passed, 6 litres!
Incidentally I also developed strong flu symptoms that night which lasted for several days which I am sure was a result of way too much mercury being stirred up. That was back in June, and since then I have only been able to cope with 6 drops of NDF a day. However in the last 2 weeks I have been taking 2 heaped tablespoons of Whey Protein Isolate (microfiltered) in the morning which has allowed me to increase the dosage to about 20 drops a day. I'm guessing that it is the Cysteine in the WPI that is helping me cope with the detox and I have ordered some separately as a supplement to confirm whether this is the case.
God bless,
Jolon.
