Jeanie, I was thinking of your comment that the black students in the class were uncomfortable with thinking that evolution means they are "less evolved." it does not. Was it you who actually allowed them to leave the classroom thinking this?
Secondly, you can reiterate however many times you like that you don't believe in evolution. That's clear. What's also clear is that you refuse to deal with one iota of the evidence in favour of evolution and simply dismiss it all without looking at it or understanding it. As I said earlier, that's fine if it works for you; not OK if you're meant to be teaching science to a class full of students. When you want to discuss any of the actual details presented here, let us know. You could maybe start by explaining what australopithecines and neanderthals are, since you said you don't "believe in" neanderthals. You're very welcome to state the evidence backing up your own ideas here, as we have done; I'd particularly be keen to hear how the spiritual evidence you mention overrides any physical evidence to the contrary, such as the fossil record. I suspect, however, that this discussion has moved you out of your "comfort zone" and that we will only be hearing more emotional outbursts. I don't think anyone here deliberately wants to upset you so maybe you might want to leave this kind of discussion until such time as you don't feel you will take offense if the factual foundation of your creationist beliefs is questioned.
