Hi again Jeanie,
I'm not a religious fanatic, but do believe and have faith in things you can't see.
How do you know if you have not tested your beliefs against reality? Why does just asking these questions get your back up? Defensive? If you aren't willing to consider that some of your beliefs may be false, then you certainly are not being open minded.
I just subbed in science classes for 2 months (as a special ed teacher) in high school and we just went through all this.
Ah, then you are an
expert, and you can tell us what is wrong with evolution. Perhaps you would like to define what you think it is first, so we can start from one basic level.
I just sat through all the current stuff with evolution theories, but it didn't sell me.
And yet you do have beliefs where you HAVE been "sold" on the concepts. The question comes down to what you use to determine validity: does it fit your comfort zone?
You really aren't going into this with an open mind.
Easy to say, hard to show. Particularly when I am the one asking how you validate which beliefs are true representations of reality, and you are the one that says: "[color:"red"] You can't argue about such things. [/color]"
May I ask what your faith is or if you are atheist?
Does it matter? Does that change the argument in any way? Does that change reality?
Enjoy.
