Aren't we just the intellectual?? I use to work with guys like you in a petroleum lab in the army reserves. Honestly I don't feel the need to debate the subject to prove what "I believe." But I am a truth seeker and don't just blindly "believe" these facts. I just think its nicer to put it that way cause I don't know for sure any more than you do exactly how the creation went down. Other than that I have indesputable evidence through experience about my faith. And I KNOW that we were created by a higher being.
It doesn't mean I haven't studied. I have about 5 years of college - couldn't decide what I wanted to go into - but did get an Assoc. in Science because I was going into Nursing which I changed my mind on. I just subbed in science classes for 2 months (as a special ed teacher) in high school and we just went through all this.
I'm not a religious fanatic, but do believe and have faith in things you can't see. (Which is not to say there is not evidence of those things...but sometimes you don't see it other than through your spiritual eyes). You can't argue about such things. I would have to get into my whole belief (KNOWLEDGE) system which is more spiritual than physical but controls the physical.
You really aren't going into this with an open mind. I just sat through all the current stuff with evolution theories, but it didn't sell me. Learned all about the bacteria issues you are talking about. So? What does that prove? Do you think we evolved that way? (I'm new on here and don't have time to retrace all the posts - just see yours as kind of lost so thought I'd throw in).
May I ask what your faith is or if you are atheist? You really can still believe scientific FACT and still be a believer in a creator. Do you believe in the supernatural? I totally agree about belief not changing facts. Just like NOT believing does not change FACTS. Either its true or isn't.
