Linda, extensive testing isn't the answer, if the physician has no idea how to deal with what is abnormal. Many years ago my blood tests showed mild anemia with poikilocytosis(abnormally shaped red blood cells) however the physicians couldn't understand why it was occuring, or why I was having so much fatigue. I was taking iron, folic acid, B12,magnesium, calcium vitamin c, other B vitamins, etc. I even had some vitamin c iv drips, but the relief was very temporary. Recently I did a Google search of mercury poikilocytosis, and sure enough a number of pages stated that mercury could cause poikilocytosis. Many years ago I suggested to a physician that my many mercury fillings might be making me sick, so the physician ordered a blood test for mercury. The results did not show an elevated level(now I realize that such a test is worthless). The problem with mercury toxicity is not just the mercury itself, however when the body's detoxification channels are blocked other toxins as well accumulate and cause problems.

Jinx, imo you need to take some control over your feelings, and don't outwardly express these negative feelings. I know that at times I have horrible feelings due to the discomfort and frustration I feel. Expressing them to others though isn't productive, and might make others much less sympatic rather than being more sympathetic. You shouldn't expect others who don't have this illness to understand what you are going though. Therefore it is best not to tell them everything. Problems might occur though if they pressure you to do things that you are physically incapable of doing. In those instances you need to try to explain to them why you can't do these things. Try not to express any anger. Try to be as calm as possible when expressing this.
