Hey guys, I have two cavities in my two bottom left-side molars untreated and recently I had some pain there, nothing severe but felt like deep inside the tooth and at the same time i developed a tmj pain on my left side, after a day or so both pains subsided but am dreadfully afraid this could mean my root canal is infected and the infection temprarily attakced my joint, those teeth should have been treated long time ago (all comes down to money of course).so is this an indicator of a root canal problem? thanks for any input....

Jinx, if you have a root canal, you might wanna look at getting it removed. They can be a tremendous source of toxicity for the entire body (like cavitations/jawbone infections). Even if there is no pain. Sosick on here had big problems when she had root canals done by dentists and far worse than her issues with mercury.

The toxins produced by them are worse than mercury apparently. Cavitations the same. Both are worse even than mercury. Hard to believe. Hal Huggins warns against anybody getting root canals. If you have had one done, you may need to get it removed and cleaned out and stitched up.

You should find a dentist that knows how to properly pull teeth without leaving a cavitation.

Hal Huggins (wrote books on amalgam poisoning) believed root canals were worse than mercury fillings, so they are definitely not something to mess around with. This was his conclusion after helping many patients get better by removing both fillings and root canals.

Jinx, I am confused here. Do you have a root canal or not? A root canal is a procedure done by a dentist. It's where they remove the nerve of the tooth and everything and fill it in and seal it. It's done on a dying tooth. So in a sense you get to keep your tooth from this procedure, but it's not alive. And one must ask, at what cost? Unfortunately root canals are a breeding ground for infection/bacteria, and some are not done as well as others. This bacteria apparently is not always contained, but can become systemic and cause illness and many symptoms.

So that's why many biologic dentists refuse to do root canals, though now "apparently" there is another way of doing them that is more biocompatible and safe and some are now doing them because of this new procedure. I cannot vouch for it, I don't know enough about it. Check thse links out, it may answer a few questions. Showing two different materials used in root canals and which ones are preferable.

If you simply have teeth that have cavities and you are having problems/pain, then you may need to get the tooth removed completely. If you get a tooth removed (which is probably a healthier alternative to a root canal), then make sure you request a non vasoconstrictor, non epinephrine anaesthetic (because these products can interfere with blood flow to the area and contribute to deadening of teeth/cavitations and are also toxic). You will also want to make sure (ask) that they please remove the periodontal ligament as well as the tooth. You do not want that being left behind to sit there in the jaw when it's no longer of use. It just rots pretty much and intefers with healthy bone growth to the area. You have every right to request this, it's pretty basic stuff. Just make sure they don't pack the hole itself afterwards. Wadding is ok (just the stuff they put into your mouth to help with the bleeding). But putting actual stuff inside the hole itself? Probably not a good idea. Stitching it would be better. And make sure it's kept clean/sterile and simply eat as well as you can, take supplements, all to aid the bone growth to the area where the tooth has been removed.

I don't know enough about TMJ. But it's highly possible because mercury can apparently cause/contribute, as can other dental toxins. I had terrible problems with my jaw when I had braces. It was the toxicity of the metals in my mouth. IT was awful! That's when I dramatically drifted into ill health and never recovered from that moment onwards. But I did get to improve alot later on through diet. I'm suffering now with something else as you know, so the improvements are not what they were.

ok bex, havent had any procedure done, just something going on with my tooth and was thinkinhg i had a canal infected and my tooth was dead so was thinking what's the best way. extracion is not really an option. i had 5 teeth extracted last year, i would have no molarls down on my left side if i had thos extarcted. and was planning to get some implants in the very distant future wo soulwdn't it be better to keep the tooth even if dead, instead of pulling it and and then implanting a false tooth?

i was just wondering what to do if i go to the dentist with the cavity he opens it up and tells me i need a root canal , which is a possibilty since i had that tmj thing. why are treated root canals a danger, sinc ethe dfentists open up the canal clean it out, disnfect itr and fill it wth some (probably toxic) stuff? apart from the toxicity of the filling thing what to be afraid of?

Hi jinx, did you check the links out that I gave? I don't know enough about root canals, the information in those links should be more helpful. You can look them up online too (toxicity of root canals) if you want. Dr Weston Price has always spoken of it. They can be serious and I think his son died after one. Though that is obviously very rare.

I wouldn't want to live with a dead/dying tooth personally, but I can see where this is a difficult decision. Implants are higher expensive and the best is the newer biocompatible ones made from zirconium. THe older ones are titanium and not the best apparently to use inside your mouth. That link I sent, has also got information on implants, you might want to go and check it all out on that website.

If you cannot afford to lose another tooth, then your options are limited to root canals or implants if you replace it with something. Then you have to figure out which will be your best option, both biologically and financially and that is a very hard decision to make.

I am sad that you do not have a biologic dentist in Poland. I'm shocked actually. So therefore, what choice do you have? If the pain and problems stemming from that tooth worsen, then you will have no choice but to get it seen to and something done. I have seen many successful root canals, but obviously in people like us who are toxic and suseptible, I cannot say what might occur.

Sosick got incredibly sick after root canals and had them removed and felt better.....she's mercury toxic, yet even the mercury wasn't as bad as the toxins produced from the root canals. Again, go and look up on the internet for information on the toxicity from them and check the links I gave you. You can always email that biologic dentist too and ask him what you can do in your situation, he maybe able to suggest something to you. Make sure you tell him you do not have access to a biologic dentist, nor can you afford to lose anymore teeth.

You can email any biologic dentist online and find someone who maybe able to suggest something Jinx in your difficult situation.

sorry, my confusion, I missed those when reading, very informative stuff there, I guess will have to see a dentist and see what he says after opening it up. just wondeing bex do u know if extracting the tooth and then implanting with zirconium etc is better then the risk of trying to leave the natural tooth in after root canal treatment?

Hi Jinx, probably depends on what kind of root canal you get (based on the biocompatible version and the other one, and the sealing of them).

I'd say a zirconium implant would be preferable than a root canal (or at least the unbiologic version of root canals). Root canals can breed harmful toxins/bacteria which can leak into your system 24/7. Though an ordinary dentist would likely say this isn't so, I wonder why some people become so ill by them? They may not have any localised symptoms either. which is worse because often it's a hidden problem and one that is often missed.

Unless your dentist can perform the new more biocompatible root canals that are mentioned on one of those links, I don't know if I would get one. Again Jinx, I don't know how much choice you will have where you are. It may work out ok for you, it may not and that is not something anybody can predict.

I don't know how you would get hold of a dentist that does the zirconium implants where you are, I know the dentist in the links I gave you does them, but it maybe pretty rare. You might wanna look zirconium dental implants up online and see what you come up with. If you cannot get one and/or it's too expensive, see if a dentist can look at doing the more biocompatible/safer root canals, rather than the old style ones.

Unfortunately so many of them are very cynical when it comes to biologic dentistry. But if you get one that listens and might actually do that for you as a special case, that would be good. I know you can't afford to lose anymore teeth, so Im not sure what other choices there are and you could also print something out and take it to a dentist and let them know that you have very big issues with toxicity and really want to find out the best/safest least toxic way to do something about that tooth.
