I was reading in the newspaper.. Chemical Roulette..
The Body Burden Series..
And just reading all thats going on in our planet today..
And in the newspaper's so much is written on it..

You can't help but thinking about it and where it's all leading too
and as caretakers of this planet.. Our responsibility to it...

But what is that responsibility as written in the Bible for thoses
that go by the Bible... for the resource of what we are called to do..

For thoses that go by that resource...
As in the context of this thread..

It's a concern to all neverless...
It's worldwide..

How Sick Is Our Planet ?

Interesting questions indeed ..

Since the destruction of the environment is such a hugh problem,
a successful solution would require the cooperation of the world's governments..

Interesting concept if that were to happen.
How would that come about ???

How would that be set in motion and Is that day comeing ????

What can we do or what will happen ???

I think it's on everybodys mind how could it be not ???

It is such an awfull thing to see our beautifull planet in such disarrangement....

How will all this ever get better ???? The problems of this world are such terrible complicated ones to fix...
People are perplexed...

And there are no real solid long lasting solutions to it all..
That I could see....

It would take a worldwide solution and all I see is wars and greed and man's inhumanity to man going on in this world today..

So how will that all come about ???

We have problems with our Oceans and pollution and the life therefore within..
And overfishing... And garbage thrown into our waters floating around..
Garbage floating around in space as well...

Our forests are being deforest..
Deforestation and that means a reduction in the earth's capacity to absorb carbon dioxide...
Toxic Wastes: Dumping of harmfull materials both on land and in the sea..
Radioactive wastes, heavy metals , and by products of plastics..

Chemicals: During the past 100 years , close to 100,000 new chemicals have come into use.
Theses chemicals find our way into our air, our soil, our water..
Our bodys.. Our body contain all theses substances as they are in our food chain of now...
Animals, fish, water ect... And that's not all..

What about the Jet fuel they have found in milk..
That problem lands all over the earth in our soil and water supply too...
not only the air we breath...
Not just airplanes.. Look at all the cars in the world and smoke stacks polluting our air too..

And of course there is Noise Pollution..

Everybody with " hyperacusis disorder " knows about that one..
One type of pollution is not seen but heard--- Noise pollution..

Experts say that it is of concern because it can cause hearing loss..
Stress, high blood pressure , sleep loss , and a loss of productivity...

Children who go to school in noisy environments may develop reading
deficiences...

And then of course all the wars and hatred we see in the world..
It just baffles the mind how to solve everybodys problems in the world..

Make everybody happy...
Thought we need to speak out about whats happening in the world..

How things need to change.. be dealt with...
We can be angry about it.. We have every right to be..
God is angry about it as well so it's O.K. to feel the injustice of it all..

That things are are so messed up in the world...
But we still need to find some way, some internal calm at the same time too..
Or it will just eat us up inside as it's just beyond our scope of total control..

And that can make one feel so powerless to be that way at times on earth...
Theses days...
It really can.....
It can be so overwhelming..
Yet.. The problems are still there...
So what comes next????

I try to find some calmness in spite of it all even though I feel like
it doesn't have to be like this and I dream of better days as well..

So I hold on to what I can hold on to in the midst of all I can't control.
And that is so hard for me to do.. because I want some control over it all..
I want it ! When ... Now.... The sooner the better...

I think most people want some control over it all as well..
To be able to control their environment.. Control their world in events..
Make it all work out.. Make it all right.. Somehow..

But then there is a time we find out how vunerable we really all are in the face of world events...

This just calm's my heart and gives me so much peace when I can find none..
And in theses days.. Sometimes it can be hard to find..
I have to remind myself .. I can't fix it all.. Though I wish I could..
I really do....

But I dream of a day as well when there will be no more wars in the world ...
Just refuge and strength. And love...
In the midst of my distress....

Psalms 46..

1 .. God is our refuge and strength , very much found to be a help in distresses..

3.. Let it's waters foam, let the mountains shake in it's swelling .

To put thoses who are ruining the earth to ruin....... YES ! That will do it...

Revelation 11:18 ... and to thoses destroying the earth....
And we get a New Heaven and New Earth out of it too..
Were going to need one the way this one is going.....

Revelations 21:1... And I saw a ( a) new heaven and a new earth,
for the first heaven and the first earth has passed away,
and the sea is no more..

2 Peter 3:13... But according to His promise , we look for a new
heaven and new earth , in which righteousness dwells.....

Antarctic poaching, Mysterious tree deaths, Warming
migrations, Afghan drought returns , Earthquakes,
Eruptions, Tropical cyclones, German fireball.......

And every week it's a different thing....
If I printed out ever weeks events of the past year . It would fill up this thread in no time......

No wonder people are concerned about this planet the environment and earth changes in events.........
Aren't we all in some way concerned about it ????

According to Pope John Paul 11, humans can look forward to the future
with confidence.. Throughout our history, he noted " men have continued
to commit sins , perhaps even greater then thoses described before the flood, "

Even so, the pope explained , " from the words of the covenant
God made with Noah we realize that now there is no sin that can bring
God to destroy the world he himself created. "

Is it true that God will never destroy the world ?

The Bible states that after the Deluge, God said to Noah ;
No more will all flesh be cut off by waters of a deluge, and no
more will there occur a deluge to bring the earth to ruin. "
{ Genesis 9:11 }

The pope says that with theses words, God " commited himself "
to preserveing { the earth } from destruction. "

The Bible makes it clear that the Creator will not allow our planet
to be destroyed. " The earth is standing even to time indefinite, "
says the Bible.... { Ecclesiastes 1:4 }

But there is more to be learned from the deluge--- something that
the pope did not comment on...

Jesus said that conditions on earth at the time of his future presence
would be " just as the days of Noah were , " when people " took no note
untill the flood came and swept them all away...
{ Matthew 24: 37-39 }

Similary, the apostle Peter wrote that just as " the world of that time
suffered destruction when it was deluged with water ," so also "
the day of judgement and of destruction of ungodly men " looms
over the present world --- 2 Peter 3:5-7...

Did Jesus and Peter forget about God's covenant with Noah ?

By no means ! Just as he stated in the covenant with Noah,
God will not employ floodwaters to bring this wicked system
of things to an end:

Instead , he will use the might of the
" King of kings and Lord of lords, " Jesus Christ.

{ Revelations { Apocalpse } 19:11-21

According to the Bible , therefore , the earth ' will not be destroyed,
but the " world " of evil mankind will without fail come to an end.
{ Proverbs 2:21,.22; Revelations 11:18 }

And it's true even though there are many medical breakthroughs...

Comfort For The Oppressed.....

Have you ever noticed that throughout your lifetime..
Certain words have been repeated over and over in the headlines ?

wars between countries...

his help, whose hope is in Jehovah God, the maker of heaven and earth."
"Only Jehovah , mankinds Creator, can solve the dilemmas that face human
kind. { Psalm 146:3-6 }

Jehovah's inspired Word, the Bible in recording Jesus's great prophecy
concerning " the sign.... of the conclusion of the system of things,
foretold the medical miseries that afflict our generation. Jesus said:
"There will, be... in one place after another pestilences..
{ Matthew 24:3-8} { Luke 21:10,11 }

However, the Bible allso points to a future time on earth under the rule
of God's Kingdom when " no resident will say: I am sick. "
{ Isaiah 33:24} { Matthew 6:9,10}

Thoses who trust in Jehovah thus have a strong reason to believe that
obedient mankind will soon recieve a permanent release from not only the
deadly diseases that plague humans but also the problems that contribute
to disease.

True Christians appreciate the efforts of the medical community in the difficult battle
against deadly microbes. Yet, they know the lasting solution to disease and death rests
With God, the one " Who is healing all your maladies...

Which is also my beliefs and hopes for the future as well..

Churchs Feel The Crime Wave..

Untill recent years, Austrialian churchs were generally left unlocked,
even when no services were being conducted.

But things have changed now, reports the newspaper The Weekend
Australian , because of robberies, break-in's , vandalism to church
buildings , and a number of instances in which priests have been attacked.

Lets just go after the cows...
There easy... that don't move fast..
We can out run them..
Except... maybe there is a twist to this story..
Maybe the cows are the solution to all our world problems after all...

We just don't see it ...the future possibiltys with all thoses smokeing barbeques and all that artery clogging meat...
We get to become more healthy consumers as well...

Some experts call for removal of more heavy metals from waste
before it is used as feed or fertilizer..

Besides the hormones residues that are found in cow manure..

It mankind..

The United Nations Environment Programme ( UNEP )
released a comprehensive report urging action to correct environmental woes
before it is to late.

Executive director of UNEP, Klaus Toepfer, says;
" We know enough now to see how our actions or lack of actions might shape the environment and the inhabitants of this
extrordinary blue planet
by 2032."

Some environmental progress has been made since UNEP was established
in 1972.
As reported in The Toronto Star,
" the quality of air and waters has improved in Europe and North America,
and checks on chemical emissions have made it possible for recovery of
ozone layer damage."

Also forest management programs, such as thoses in Canada, Finland,
Norway, and the United States,
" are ensuring that the impace of over- harvesting of timber will be reduced."

Even so, the UNEP report says that if economic growth continues unchecked and more of the earth's surface is absorbed into cities,
this will have a disastrous effect on wildlife and biodiversity.

The Globe stated: " About half the world's rivers are polluted or seriously depleted..
Eighty countries holding 40 percent of the world's population have serious
water shortages."
Toepfer believes that " decisive action can achieve positive results.
" He adds: " We need a concrete action plan... concrete projects...
and above all a clear decleration."

But what hope is there if world leaders are resistent to acting in the best
interests of the planet ?

Be assured , there is one who has made " a clear declaration "
and who will take " decisive action "-- Jehovah God.
In fact , he has gone on record unambiguosly stateing that he will
intervene and " bring to ruin thoses ruining the earth."

Furthermore, God assures us that earth's ecosystems will be restored.
The deserts will blossom.

Food will be plentiful. Rivers will be free of pollution.
{ Psalms 72:16; 98:8 }

God guarantees a blessing for every liveing thing on earth..

Evertime I read the paper lately or planet watch..
There are some interesting things going on on this planet..
Like North Pole seas may be ice-free by 2100..
And Scientist calls the latest prediction " conservative '.
The Ice's disapperance would lead to a dramatic reshaping of the Arctic
that would accelerate warming of the oceans worldwide.

And the articule said It is possible to the see the difference from an
airplane heading north from Alaska....

Yes of course theses days when one reads the paper or watches the
news you read NASA scientist predicts global warming doomsday..
species will disappear and the earth will be vastly less populated
by the end of the century or scientists warn Alps to lose most
glaciers by 2050 and 2050 is a conservative estimate as if they
keep melting at that rate , most glaciers could vanish by 2037..

And you know it's not just the glaciers now that we finally about all
agree on are really melting after all.. That something is going on..

It's what comes with all that with the food supply, water supply, energy
supply , wildlife and species ect...

But you know we may or may not be able to do something about that
at this time anyway.. Maybe slow it down..

It's debatable but thats not why we should make changes anyway...

The changes should come about because of the reason we all need to
breath the same air and drink the same water on this plant and to
be more self sufficent and less dependent on others to supply our
energy needs..

We need to adapte to changes better and think about the effect on
us all of the way we have been doing things since the industrial age..

And I read a great articule about just that with energy needs..
It just blew me away they were working on that..
It's looks like a great laser shield..
But more solar based energy effecient..
It was just interesting reading about it and the possiblitys..

Just for that fact if nothing else..
To become more energy effecient self efficient and save our lungs
with less chemical or metalic waste that efficients our wellbeing and
health..

And thoses of the animal life and plants on this planet as well..
To become good steward's of the earth..

We can think out the box on this and make changes that doesn't pollute..
everything around us and effect all of our health overtime..

And there are people in this world that are working on that at this time..

Ocean Species Disappearing...

The Global ocean is no longer a blue frontier with vast populations of
uncaught fish, according to marine biologists Dr Ransom Myers of
Dalhousie University in Halifax and Dr Boris Worm of the Institue for Marine
Science in Kiel , Germany.

They say the ocean spieces, one by one, are being pushed to extinction,
a phenomenon driven by advances in satellite and sonar technology,
which ocean- going fishing fleets use to locate fish.

As reported in The Globe and Mail of Toronto, " every single species of
large wild fish has been caught so systematiclly over the past 50 years that 90 per cent of each type have disappeared.

" Dr. Myers believes that the loss of these fish,
as well as thoses prized most for eating, such as tuna, cod, halibut,
marlin, and swordfish, will profoundly effect the ecosystem of the global
ocean.

" Dr Worm adds: "We are tampering with the life-support system of the planet and that's not a good thing to do. "

Plants With A " Memory "...

When attacked, many plants produce chemicals to ward off their attackers..
New Scientist magazine reports that some also form a " memory "
of the attack , allowing them to begin producing the repelling toxins more quickly if attacked again.

A cater pillar chewing on a tobacco leaf triggers the manufacture of
jasmonic acid , which travels to the roots.

This initiates the production of nicotine,
which returns to the leaves to make them undesirable to the eater.
Planets with roots previously exposed to the acid reacted more quickly
to the attack...

" This suggests that plants do indeed have a memory,"
