Well I was having some digestive symptoms before the fast. The only way to get around it was eat small meals and space them out good, otherwise I would feel too feel and uncomfortable, like I ate too much. I was doing fine otherwise besides the fact that I wasn't really in taking enough food to provide all of my energy so I started slowly losing a bit of weight. I knew I had to do something about this so I got the idea to drink only milk and it worked very well. I feel much more solid and am a very healthy weight after almost a month of only milk. I have been enjoying doing heavy labor under the SoCal sun which is just something that I haven't been able to do in a while, especially in summer!
The only way I can seem to keep a nice healthy weight is with a lot of butterfat in my diet. Seeds and nuts don't do much and I can't eat too many of them without feeling heavy, even if they are soaked and dehydrated.
It turns out my enzyme supplement (biocore optimum) was giving me an allergic reaction and giving me this tense full feeling by my spleen/pancreas area on my abdomen. I figured this out after stopping all my supps for a while then trying them one by one while on the milk fast. The enzymes gave me an instant bad reaction and symptoms that it gave me were ones that I struggled with for quite a while. So I haven't even tried solid food yet but I think once I do that it will be easier to eat more because the enzymes were something I always took with food.
I also tried taking turmeric extract once (bright yellow), and I pooped less than 5 hours later and noticed the yellow color in my solid stools, so the milk was moving through me really fast! Explains how I could drink so much.
About milk being irritable to the digestive tract, we have to distinguish between fresh milk and pasteurized milk. The only time I think milk is really a problem is when your digestive system is in real bad shape and you have that leaky gut syndrome where partially digested proteins can enter your bloodstream. Otherwise milk is very easy on your digestive system, as long as you don't mix it with the wrong foods.
