Bill,

I recently experienced some of the same problems after doing a whole day of very strenuous yard work. The first thing I'd recommend is start drinking water with as much fresh-squeezed lemon juice in it as you can handle. You need to help your colon and kidneys flush the mercury out. The last think you want is be constipated and allow the mercury to be reabsorbed from the colon. You want to keep your bowels moving. Of course, mercury contributes to constipation, so drink plenty of water and if you have Algin, take lots of it. I was taking 6 capsules 4 times a day for the first day or two.

The lemon juice in the water will also help the liver and it will provide you with much-needed vitamin C. You want to take lots of vitamin C right now...even up to bowel tolerance, at which point you can back off a little. I have taken 2,000mg every hour or two and it really helps. Vitamin C is fantastic for helping decrease mercury symptoms. In fact, when I'm doing yard work, I take 4-6 Algin capsules beforehand and I also drink a natural electrolyte replacement drink called Recovery that helps prevent me from getting dehydrated or from getting lactic acid build-up. It doesn't have any artificial colors or NutraSweet in it like Gatorade and many of the other sports drinks, plus it has vitamin C in it.

From the sounds of it, all that's happended is you've mobilized more mercury than your body can eliminate, and you've probably reabsorbed some of it into the brain. Just try to relax and understand that these reactions will eventually subside, as long as you help your body as much as possible.

Remember, according to Hal Huggins research, about 80% of individuals appear to automatically begin to expel mercury once they have all their amalgams removed. They don't even need to take anything at first...the body just begins dumping mercury into their bloodstream for removal by the kidneys and colons, as seen by their urine mercury levels skyrocketing. You may be one of the 80% that is automatically detoxing, and then you're pulling even more mercury out with this detox product.

Right now, you need to stack everything in your favor. Drink lots of water, take lots of vitamin C, also vitamin E, lots of Algin, don't eat any sulphur foods (eggs, garlic, onions, etc.) that might exacerbate your symptoms. Protein will help...I drink a whey protein drink mix, Nutri-Burn. Just make sure the protein drink doesn't have NutraSweet (aspartame) in it, which many of them do. If you can eat hormone-free, antibiotic-free chicken, beef or turkey, or organic beans, these would be good protein sources also.

I'd also recommend extra magnesium for the burning feelings in your neck and shoulders, which may be muscle tension or a buildup of lactic acid. The hot flashes/fevers happened to me too. These will pass. A fever is usually caused by your immune system doing it's job to fight off an infection. Mercury lowers your immune system making you more susceptible to illness. If your body temperature is going up and down, more like "hot flashes", it could also be related to thyroid function, will is supposed to regulate your body temperature. Mercury interferes with thyroid function.

For me, it took probably 3-4 days to get back to "normal." In your situation, it may take longer.

PLEASE...don't take any more chelators for a while. You also need to take much more than 2 Algin. As I said, my "maintenance" dosage is 3-4 at least once or twice a day, and I'm not taking any chelators or detox products right now with all the yard work I'm doing. If I were to take anything like what you were taking, I would absolutely be taking a lot more Algin.

Also, please take more vitamin C...you're body can handle it and will definitely appreciate it. If you get to the point of bowel tolerance (loose stools), then back off 500mg to 1,000mg and stay at the daily amount for a while. You don't have to worry about overdosing. (When I did DMPS injections after my removal, I was given 50 grams or 50,000mgs by IV.) If money is an issue, then try to eat as many vitamin C-rich foods as possible...organic is best if you can find and afford it: oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, kiwi, raw broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, etc. Do a google search and you'll find all kinds of foods high in vitamin C and other important antioxidants.

Let us know how you're doing!
