Early this morning, we created a new header that is cleaner and faster to display (much less HTML code). We also added a sidebar that will be used for basic notifications and advertising to help us cover costs associated with running/maintaining the forum.

We made the sidebar as narrow as possible so as to steal as little horizontal screen real estate and to be as little a nuisance as possible. Today, we will be working on eliminating page margins and narrowing the space between the sidebar and the body of the forum in an attempt to preserve as much screen real estate as possible which will make browsing the forum more esthetically pleasing.
