Consuming any fish at all, even "low" mercury fish for a toxic person is an unwise move. I did this thinking it was still a good idea for health reasons and began consuming canned salmon and sardines, both from the lower mercury areas and I felt the effects soon after. They don't just disappear either and can go on for weeks as they did with me. Never again.
This interfers with detoxing mercury and even small amounts can make a suspetible person sick. It is not advised to consume any seafood whatsoever and is not even worth the risk in my opinion. I would opt for mercury free/tested fish oil supplements instead. They do not seem to pose the risk. Even then, some people can still react to such supplements if they still may contain some mercury. I remember having cod liver oil and becoming toxic straight afterwards. I had amalgams at the time admittedly, but the oil obvously was contaminated.
It's up to the person, but all I can say is, what is the point in taking in more mercury, however small you may think it is, when you are trying to eliminate it? Insignificant amounts of mercury are often significant to people like us.
Yeah, eggs are great, and high in sulfur as well as protein. I love them and eat them almost everyday. I'd opt for free range though, not battery. They are a healing food in my opinion, as is butter. Garlic is good too, but still high in sulfur, so both foods and others like them can mobilise mercury and as you said, kill off yeast which creates reactions as well. Some people cannot handle these foods, or have to lessen them. Some do really well on them. I think they can create healing reactions as well which might be misinterpreted as allergy when it may not be. I've had that experience with foods and some reactions are good, rather than bad. I think you get to know yourself pretty well with what's happening.
