Hi Shonda,

This is very individual. If you get reactions to sulfur foods, it's mobilising too much mercury for your system to handle. If you do well on the sulfur.. That may mean you do need the sulfur and rather than cause adverse reactions, helps you to feel better. Some people low in sulfur do just fine with it, because their body requires it. Others may find the extra sulfur brings on mercury symptoms and make them feel revolting.

Sulfur foods are onions, garlic, broccoli, cabbage, leek, eggs etc.

Sulfur supplements like garlic, methionine, cysteine, MSM, etc may also mobilise mercury in people who react.

If you are doing ok on sulfur? you might be ok to continue the foods, but I wouldn't go too far and start supplementing it.

I'm not sure whether a person can avoid any mercury going into breastmilk....but if you are concerned about unnecessary stirring up of mercury that may encourage more to go there, you could limit your sulfur intake if you feel concerned. I am not qualified to understand enough about this to advise you. But I do know that some mercury toxic people do very well on sulfur, some do not. That maybe your best indicator.
