It's interesting how people who have never used DMPS IV chelation have such strong negative opinions about it, but if you ask around, and probably why many people who have used that are not hanging around here, is that total recovery within a realistic timeframe is actually possible with DMPS.

I have had DMPS (as I've mentioned on here a few times now) and it messed me up so badly that Cutler's was the only one to finally get me out of it in the end. I have a firsthand reason for having some negative opinions about it. And if you ask on other forums, e.g. frequent dose forum, there are some there trying to undo the effects from other protocols and DMPS is only one of them. They are not just people new to chelation. What Cutler said can happen, DID happen to me in just the way he warned.

40yrs

DMPS has the ability to release a load of mercury in one go, so much so that I think has the potential to do damage in some cases, as would anything releasing too much mercury at once. I agree that it's not the DMPS itself, but the mercury that has the potential to cause such harm. If one reads the DMPS backfire reports, it isn't just a case of massive detox, there are cases of damage on there that people are still suffering from LONG after the DMPS was given. I've read some of those reports and they are totally devastating and long term. People need to read them for themselves if they are under the impression that it's not such a big deal and these guys should just "keep on going" with DMPS. That is totally irresponsible given what some of those people had happen to them.

....maybe it is a case of it being in the wrong hands, I don't know. As everybody is different, it would be hard to tell whether it is that, or their body simply cannot handle such a load of hg being released in one session. Damage can definitely occur. I still to this day, do not know whether I was damaged by it or not. I know that my recovery took years and part of that was still stored mercury coming out over time admittedly - but part of it was recovering from so much hg being shunted all over the place by one DMPS IV. And that is all it took for me.

Once that happened, the doctor didn't want to know and couldn't careless about the aftermarth. As I have said before, plenty of people have tried various protocols before Cutler's and I am just one of many. Why would we need to investigate on the internet to find something to help us, if these other protocols that many doctor's use are the ticket? Why would I have resorted to searching the net? Once I got on Cutler's I started to get the stuff out of me more safely and it also corrected a few ongoing symptoms from other protocols that I was unable to get rid of.

That's when I started recovering. Recovery is ALWAYS slow, and I can attest to that. I tried all manner of things. There is no fast way to get hg out of a person. NO matter what you do, the person's body still has to handle the hg coming out into the system and alot of this depends on the person's constitution and ability to eliminate toxins. Some recover more quickly, others do not.

Once a person gets their amalgams out, that's when the sh*t really hits the fan and that's when recovery takes time due to stored mercury slowly starting to leak back out. Even if you try to speed that process up with chelation, there is no indication of exactly how long it's going to take for each person. In fact, I got more remission of symptoms WITH amalgams still in me and I managed symptoms more simply with diet and I could even use garlic and other stuff (which I can't figure out how). Post amalgam removal left me very very ill with ongoing detox symptoms that I coudl not control. I was then unable to use garlic and other things I once had been able to do. Things do change after amalgam removal. But in a sense, I felt I had to do it, but I had no idea what I was in for once it was done.
