Personally I would not go for "gold" because it's not known how pure it is. I don't know how much it is, so you would need to check out costs with your dentist. You may react to it. Hard to say.

If you want something strong, long lasting and possibly low allergy, you might opt for ceramic porcelain like I did - e.g. cerec, which has a very good reputation. Just make sure if you do get porcelain, that it's not one with a metal base.

But really it is up to you. You may opt for the simple composites instead.

The test you send away for won't take too long. I got in touch with a testing place in the US (clifford reactivity testing lab) and I live in New Zealand. They sent me out the stuff I needed with the instructions (which didn't take long) and then I got the serum samples, sent them with ice packs to keep them fresh and they got them pretty quick and then sent back the results. It may well be worth it in the long run to give you that extra bit of assurance. It is really tempting to rush and get them out becuase of how bad you feel, but if you can do as much preliminary work to make the whole process as safe as you can, you will likely be better off in the long run (which is what you want).

You really want to give your immune system every chance to recover from this mercury assault and the replacement materials to be the least offensive to it, as you detox your stored mercury with the help of chelating agents.

I do not know how long it will take for this testing, but I recall it wasn't that long! Sorry I cannot be more specific. Depending on where you live, will depend on how long it takes for the stuff to get to you and how long it takes for it to arrive back to them once you've sent your serum.
