My floaters came on in the late 1970's. Later I got ocular migraines irregularly. They are vivid starbursts that stay with you about an hour. You can't really focus well enough to drive. The onset of the floaters coincided with a number of filling replacements. I wish I had been smart enough to figure that out then. However it seems to me that there is enough time delay between the dental work and the symptoms appearing so that we don't corelate the two.
Anyway, after many other symptoms arose I was finally diagnosed by a naturopath last year.
I had each and everyone of my crowns and bridges replaced
We took out large chunks of amalgam that were under the gold crowns.
I still have the floaters but they are much less noticeable. I also have not had a visual disturbance since completing the dental work in July 2004.
