I imagine that in combination with various pesticides that can also contribute to insulin resistance, it could be a major problem. Then there's Bisphenol A, that white lining inside a can of spinach for instance. And PCB's. And of course, soda pop and other items loaded with corn syrup are quite helpful too. http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/jan2008/2008-01-25-04.asphttp://www.panna.org/resources/panups/panup_20080207http://www.ewg.org/reports/bisphenolahttp://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6WP8http://hubpages.com/hub/Endocrine_DisruptersThe list goes on and on really. Diabetes is a very real danger for anyone who relies heavily on the grocery store for commercially grown fruits, veggies, processed food items, and even meats. I guess that probably includes most of us. Maybe the vaccines just make people more vulnerable to all of the above, it's probably a combination factor. DDT was especially poisonous and was used widely in the 1940's too, when your linked studies began. And of course, the black population has a higher incidence of diabetes that the white population... genetic, maybe... but the fact that blacks did a lot more field labor than whites is probably, realistically, more significant. http://www.blackherbals.com/Diabetes.htmI have a neighbor that gardened with us a few years back... she used A LOT of Sevin dust on her veggies. She even offered me some of her peppers, still visibily covered with the powdered pesticide as she picked and ate them ( I politely declined the offer btw)... sure enough she developed diabetes within several months. That speaks volumes to me personally.
