I am heavily into XC mountain bike racing and consume energy drinks to improve my performance. I used to use a product called SIS psp 22 which was a pure carb powder drink. After using it and after a race, I would have a major energy crash. Headache and feel knackered. Recently a fellow mountain biker that used to race with me died of a brain tumor. The energy drink SIS PSP 22 contains 'aspartame'.
