Greetings all, I've just joined the forum and am planning to have my amalgams removed in the next couple of weeks. I've been researching safe removal, and have found the following article on the web. http://www.iaomt.org/documents/Safe%20Removal%20of%20Amalgam%20Fillings1.pdfIt's pretty interesting, but if anybody has anything better, or different, I'd be interested in reading it. Thanks, Eric

That's good advice.
Another safety measure is to put activated charcoal and chlorella in the mouth during the removal and replace it for each quadrant. This will help absorb any mercury that get by the dam (and some will).
Best of luck and please let us know how it goes.

Thanks Russell, that's great. I'll try to get a consultation with the dentist first and go over the procedure. I think he'll think I'm a bit crazy, but it's looking worth it!

Many think we're crazy when dealing with this issue, however, I love the long-term reward of being right because people eventually begin to value your opinion.
Best of luck.
